1 Evaluation Plan Elanor Sal Aurora University Woodstock Center SWK 4140 & Practice with Families March 26, 2023
2 Evaluation Plan Evaluation This evaluation will focus on Jimmy and his parent's strengths. For the care about this assignment, they will not be seen as a dysfunctional family and will address the disengagement of Jimmy, the father, and his son. Jimmy needs to know that he is not the family's enemy; he needs to recognize how the family provides support, protection, and foundation for each other. Furthermore, he needs to understand how to build an alliance: join the family and accommodate to their style, using their language, both Spanish and English. Use the Eco map family structure, boundaries, and hierarchies. Address problems identified in the assessment: Intervene to transform the structure to remove negative thinking of Jimmy. Join the family system to understand better and even experience what it is like to be a member of the family system. Goal Specific- therapeutic relationship. Coordinate to talk about the history of the family, for example, migration history and Jimmy's trauma Who: Jimmy, parents. What: Implement a social functioning improvement outlook by looking inwards, specifically at Jimmy., Detail: modifying the family structure and interaction patterns. Clear boundaries between the grandparents: This allows for connectedness and differentiation Between Carlitos (grandson) and his father, Jimmy. The family structure promotes the development/growth of Jimmy, Carlitos, and his grandparents. Method of Measurement Qualitative and quantitative way to measure progress: With this qualitative goal, the family members will be asked to fill out a form, and in that form will be a scale of 1-10, and it will ask them how intensely does each family member seem to desire these goals? Quantitative
3 goal - Jimmy will be asked about how many social functions he could do at home. For example, set a small goal of him and Carlitos going out around the block, going for Ice Reach reading a book to him. This short-term goal would start at least once a week and increase by one day every week. For Jimmy's traumas, The counselor would have Jimmy fill out an ACE assessment to tally up the different types of abuse to neglect he has endured. The client will list all the positive experiences with each question. For example, the family can all have dinner and go out together. For the next session, again, there would have a form with a scale of 1-10 for their likening of the activity and how it made them feel. Practice Evaluation The information I provided will have taught me how to confront cultural families, how to confront trauma and talk about where it can come from. This can be a start to looking inside the individual and finding out what triggers them and why. Some of the goals to spend time with each other will go well. What can go wrong are the ACEs. Because of the generation gaps, I am talking about older parents. They can dismiss the ACES and discuss how much they suffered. I may look for some limitations, and ethical issues are the generation gaps. The second generation still needs to hold onto their cultural traditions and values, and there are confronted with the selection of becoming either an American or a Mexican. At the same time, This is not good as the cultural values in this situation must be respected. This, to me, in the future, can look like the younger kids dismissing advice. Goal Jimmy, the father, will relate an interpretation or perception of his experience with his son Carlitos. This interaction will be when Carlitos does not want to go out around the block with Jimmy but instead stay home with his grandparents, or he wants one of his grandparents to
