Describe your experience:
Provide a thoughtful reflection of your experience. What gospel principle from this week’s lesson did
you teach? Include specific quotes or references to scripture or prophetic teachings that you used.
How did it go? How did you feel while teaching and afterward? What reaction or feedback did you receive?
What teaching methods did you use (thought-provoking question, discussion, game, object lesson, video, other method)?
The gospel principle that I shared with my nephew was regarding out Heavenly Fathers Plan, I told him that he has a plan for us, and that we want us to be happy, he is only 8 years old and has some difficulties in learning new things, so I tried to simply things for him, I told him that he want us to return with him one day, and that for that he has send a savior, our brother Jesus Christ, I shared with him the scripture of Moses 1:39 were it says “For behold, this is my work and glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man”, he did understand that we are looking forward to be with him one day, and have an eternal family, he has an special spirit, so I think I have received more lessons from him, that him from me, teaching methods I used was thought-provoking question, to verify he was getting the correct idea from the
principle I was sharing.
Describe the insights you gained:
What did you learn from this experience about being a teacher of the gospel?
What deeper insights or understanding of the principle(s) being taught did you gain from teaching the principle(s) to another person? I think that the principles of the gospel should be taught in a way that even a little kid could understand it, the heavenly fathers plan it is not only for grown-ups, but for everyone, it shouldn’t be something difficult to explain, and that we should keep it simple, that way we can share it more easily with others.
