Week 7: Personal Revelation Name: Luis Moreno Scripture Prayerfully read Doctrine and Covenants 58:26-29 . How can you better use your agency to assist God in doing family history and temple work? Be specific in your answers. [Write your answer here.] To better use my agency to assist God in family history and temple work, I will proactively engage in regular family history research, dedicating specific time to gather information and connect with living relatives. Voluntarily participating in temple work, attending sessions consistently, and prioritizing ordinances for ancestors will demonstrate my commitment and willingness to use my agency in these endeavors. I will approach these activities with a positive mindset, seeking guidance through prayer, and avoiding doubt or slothfulness. Making a personal commitment to be actively involved, even without specific commandments, reflects my understanding of being an agent unto myself and my desire to contribute to the work of salvation for the dead. Living Prophet These three absolute truths should form the foundation of your spiritual education. First, each of us is going to die. Second, because of Jesus Christ, each of us is going to be resurrected and become immortal. And third, Judgment Day is ahead for each of us…. Jesus Christ is the only enduring source of hope, peace, and joy for you… There is nothing happening on this earth more important than gathering Israel for Him. Let your Heavenly Father know that you want to help. Ask Him to put you to work in this glorious cause. And then stand back and marvel at what happens when you let God prevail in your life. (Russell M. Nelson, Choices for Eternity , May 2022) How can you personally “let God prevail in your life” with the gathering of Israel? [Write your answer here.] To let God prevail in my life with the gathering of Israel, I can start by aligning my priorities and efforts with the principles outlined by Church leaders. I can actively seek opportunities to participate in missionary work, share the gospel with others, and support initiatives aimed at gathering Israel. This may involve engaging in meaningful conversations about faith, extending invitations to church activities, and living a Christlike example to inspire those around me. Additionally, I can earnestly pray for guidance and express my willingness to be a tool in God's hands in this glorious cause. By being open to the promptings of the Spirit, acting with faith, and actively contributing to the work of gathering Israel, I can let God prevail in my life and play a role in furthering His divine purposes.

The thought of being part of a larger, eternal purpose and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of ancestors and oneself may serve as a powerful motivator.
