Teach a friend or family member what you learned this week about President Nelson and write a
report on your experience.
I taught Mr. Shola, my neighbor, about some of the doctrines and principles gained in this week lesson
about elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Elder David A. Bednar. Our discussion was based on face-to-face.
During our discussion, we spoke on that great love our Savior has for us and beckoning on us to come
unto Him and cast all our problems on Him that He will help us solve them all. Also, He is the only one
that can forgive us of our sins and that will judge the world. I learned from this week study about Elder
Bednar’s remarkable bravery in the Lord’s work and his capacity to lead others has given him confidence
that he will receive strength beyond his natural ability to do whatever the Lord calls him to do. And his
faith has led him to extend that confidence to those he teaches and leads.
I explained Mr. Shhola how the Church of Jesus Christ of The Latter-Day Saints is organized, from the first
presidency down to various wards or branches of the church. I also shared with him Elder Dieter
Uchtdorf’s testimony is his ability to stand as a living witness and testify on the creation of the world and
the entire universe by the hands of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He opened my eyes of
understanding that through Jesus Christ, we will be able to see things in our fellow man as they really
are. Also, that through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ we are no more strangers and foreigners but
fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God.
In conclusion, I testify of the necessity of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins and the
priesthood ordination by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority. Moreso, by virtue of the
holy priesthood, ordinances are performed, and blessings are bestowed in the name of Jesus Christ and
with His authorization for the salvation of men and women.
