Group 1:
The Blue Cross/ Blue Sheild Association represents health insurance
companies and is biased towards protecting their interest, it advocates for policies that
support the private health organization.
Group 2:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is biased towards promoting and advocating
for the interests of business and trade associations within the United States.

Group 1:
The Blue Cross/ Blue Sheild association is a group of health insurance
companies in the United States. The primary purpose within this association is to
support and advocate for the members within it. They provide health insurance
coverage to millions of United states citizens. The Blue Cross/ Blue Sheild
association also plays a part in influencing healthcare policies and regulations that
affect the health care insurance market.
Group 2:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a well-known organization that represents
business and trade associations across the United States. The main goal for the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce is to promote and advance the interest of their
members by advocating the policies that’re beneficial for business across the
United States. They also promote government regulations, lower taxes, and free
market principles.

Where does the money go? Write a description explaining each interest group's
political and financial contributions
.
Group 1:
The Blue cross Blue Shield supports both the Republican and Democratic
parties that align with their ideological values that help to build and support a strong
nation. The sources of funds are from organizations and from individuals. The recipients
of the funds are primarily -candidates, party committees, leadership PAC’s and outside
groups.
Group 2:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is on the political right and is often associated
with the establishment wing of the Republican party. The Chamber receives its revenue
via private donations and membership dues. The members include small businesses all
the way to global corporations with the recipient of funds going to outside groups,
candidates, leadership PAC’s and committees.

Opinion - Describe your takeaway power interest groups can wield. Do not think
only of your chosen interest groups but of all interest groups.
The majority of interest groups can wield significant power by influencing public policies
and the decision making process. For most interest groups they can exert their takeaway
power by lobbying, shaping public opinion, and litigation. Using these three takeaway
powers they can influence lawmakers and mobilize public support from the usage of public
campaigns and grassroot organizations. Additionally, interests groups can use litigation by
filing lawsuits and pursing legal action on someone whose going against them.
