The Christian worldview is how one sees the world, this could be looking at individual’s lives, and society as whole (GCU, 2023). A Christian worldview holds values that correlate with the nature of one’s humanity, knowledge, ethics, and human purpose (GCU, 2023). Educators must uphold their own ethics in the workplace and outside of it. Being knowledgeable about all perspectives, cultures and strategies will help ensure students are receiving curriculums and teaching standards. Christian Worldview A Christian worldview is not entirely defined by Christianity, while faith and learning are considered the heart of a higher Christian education, ethical values also play a part in the way a Christian worldview is outlined (Esqueda, 2014). When using a Christian worldview professionally it is better to not integrate biblical stand points but integrate faith in learning as a means of motivating students who go through challenges. Ethical standpoints are also considerable. In the case study about Larissa, she begins to go through changes at home and at a new school, it would be unethical for an educator to be unsympathetic when helping Larissa adjust and get caught up on assignments she may need. When giving Larissa the help or resources she needs, it is beneficial to consider her language, culture, and family background in

a barrier that might affect Larissa’s academic journey. It is important to note that Larissa comes
from a culture that looks different or may look different to educators, what Larissa learns at home can impact her behavior in school. Being aware of different languages and cultural differences means understanding concepts and expressions that might look different (Stuart, 2016). Helping students with disabilities and cultural differences can mean ensuring the strategies are in place to help the student. A student like Larissa who knows multiple languages
and have different written expressions may benefit from an ELA paraeducator who can help keep Larissa on task and help teach some of these areas where Larissa lacks the most. Luckily, today’s educational system has developed specially designed instruction plans that meets the needs of every student with or without disabilities. Developmental differences today only means that students will be granted the extra support by educators to ensure their academic success. Strategies When it comes to implementing strategies for students with disabilities, this could look like offering students a range of services that fits their specific criteria’s. Larissa has trouble communicating, she can benefit from speech-language pathology services to help her gain confidence in the way she communicates. Being that Larissa has multiple learning disabilities, educators can help by giving positive reinforcement, speaking slowly and being patient, and asking if they understand often to ensure they are being supported (Ben-Aharon, 2020). Out of all the strategies that could be used, being supportive, calm, and patient with the students will make them more receptive to learning. Individuals with disabilities education act (IDEA) is created to ensure student services, this ensures students are given resources free of cost. Some

of the resources including speech is having a paraeducator or one on one aide or being in a sped classroom to gain that support. Within these classrooms are specifically adjusted curriculums to fit each students’ individual needs. IDEA requires public schools to provide special education services to eligible students (Lee, JD, 2022 para.1). Selected strategies like speech or adjusted curriculums must be implemented in these cases to meet IDEA rules and regulations. IDEA.
IDEA covers thirteen disability categories, one of those being specific learning disability (SLD). Also covered is “other health impairments” which covers cases of ADHD. Dyslexia for a student means struggling with reading comprehension, writing, spelling, and more. Strategies for students with disabilities include multi-sensory activities, this could be using air signs so students can visually see the directions to write in (Morin, 2022). It is important to remember to be patient with students and reassure them by asking if they understand. Some strategies for ADHD include building organizational skills, using flexible seating and color-coded materials (Morin, 2022). These strategies must be implemented to ensure the needs of students with disabilities is being met. Ethical standards teach educators that students learn in different ways. To meet (IDEA) standards of learning, educators must look at students and implement specific learning styles such as these to their curriculums. As a part of IDEA standards, educators must evaluate individualized education programs (IEP) these
programs are implemented for students with disabilities and details not only strategies but resources and services for students. Through these services and strategies, educators can continue to help students meet social and academic goals. Conclusion. In conclusion, students like Larissa are everywhere, and representation for students with disabilities is essential. IDEA is the standard protection for students with

disabilities, their voices are heard through these laws that protect them. Cultural differences ad language is also a way students differ, being knowledgeable of these traditions and values is what will contribute to how a student feels when learning. Sometimes, disabilities from a student’s perspective can feel like a burden, using strategies to help students adjust however is a good way to show the student that they are capable of learning. While a Christian worldview could mean looking at society rather than analyzing the religion, it is important to remember the way society changes and evolves. Like society, students change throughout the years and grow. Building rapport with general education and sped students will give educators a greater perspective on the way students learns, grow, and adapt. The best way to support students is to never stop learning them and how they perceive things. Patience is always key along with professionalism. Hopefully students like Larissa will continue to grow and get the resources they need to be successful and independent in their futures.
