brought to life to show the tasks of determining history, origin, and functions that
religion offered.

The key term in otto’s
theory of
religion is that religion is not rational and non-emotional conceptions that form
from experiences in life. Meaning religion is not something that we do or feel, it's
something that everyday life concepts that morphed over time.

Christianity because that is what I was raised into
believing. That includes a preacher and Sundays , sometimes Wednesdays for
bible study, otto does not believe in Christianity, he does not believe in it because

internal belief in divine reality.

Totenism is the belief that
people are descended from animals, plants, and other natural objects , the social
role that totem plays is that it helps give a meaning to the symbol so that an
individual can serve their symbol.

Nye, we need to take religion more serious than we have been because of its
mental and social effects on society. The way religion is expressed in society
determines the outcome of how society is already portrayed.
