What is revealed about human nature (from Genesis 1-2)?
Human Nature is different because we can think critically, make important decisions, and have big life choices to face. God was seen loving, powerful and created man in his image. In Genesis 1 & 2 it reveals that God created human nature in his image and likeness, which is above all animals. In Genesis 1 and 2 it talks about how the purpose of
eating the fruit was to be like God and to know good and evil, but both Adam and Eve were already made in the likeness and image of God. (Diffy, 2022)
What are the consequences of the fall for human nature (from Genesis 3)?
The most devastating effect from the fall was the unexpected image of death. Genesis 2:16–17
says, "And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, 'You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of
the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.' Another devastating effect from the fall was that the man who created good was then carried with a sin nature.
What is revealed about human purpose? What does it mean for humans to flourish,
in other words, to achieve spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being?
Most adults feel unsatisfied with their life. They are constantly trying
to find their why and purpose.” In fact, theologian Reinhold Niebuhrwas
found of saying original sin-the idea that every one of us is-born a sinner
and will manifest that sinfulness in his or her life—is the only Christian doctrine that can be empirically verified. Everyone, whether a criminal or a saint, sins. Insofar as that dismal verdict is true, it’s hardly surprising that there is a great deal wrong with the world." (Shuster, 2013) God has a plan and purpose for all of us. Through trusting him we
can find peace and mental well-being, In Ephesians 2:10 is states "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
How would pantheism or atheism (choose one) view human nature, human purpose,
and human flourishing?
Atheists would choose to view their life differently than those that believe in God. If you believe in God you feel like you have a purpose through him. You live for God and feel peace through him. Atheists view on human purpose might look different. In my opinion it is hard to have a purpose without God. Atheists believe that there is no God so their look on life differs. If you were a atheist you could still have a good life, it would just be different because you don’t have a reason to live like you do as an Christian.
"How can an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-good God allow suffering?" is called
the problem of evil and suffering. Briefly summarize the Christian worldview
response to the problem of evil and suffering?
I believe God doesn't want us to suffer, but we have to suffer to learn lessons through God. God has a plan and a purpose for all of us. “ Gods people much understand that God is using this to refine and mature his people, and they need to seek God’s good wisdom” (Diffey, 4) In Genesis it says “The world was not created to include suffering. Suffering came as the result of the rebellion of humanity, when Adam and Eve first decided to rebel and go their own way”. Genesis
Highlight how the consequence of the fall is evident in the world today.
Depression effects are lives in a tremendous way. In fact, today mental health is at an all time high. Kids, teens, and adults everywhere struggle with it. According to the World Health Organization "Approximately 280 million people in the world have depression." (Evans-Lacko,
2021) Depression has increased immensely over the past few decades with social media. When you get on social media you often compare yourselves to others and that puts you into a bad head
space. According to the Child Mind Institute, "In several studies, teenage and young adult users who spend the most time on Instagram, Facebook and other platforms were shown to have a substantially (from 13 to 66 percent) higher rate of reported depression than those who spent the least time." (Miller, 2022)
Describe how this issue creates dehumanization and diminishes human dignity.
Depression diminishes human dignity by decreasing oneself confidence. Lacking in self-
confidence and self-worth creates a belief that they are not enough. By believing that they do not have worth they diminish human dignity. Because God created human's in His image if we believe that we are not enough or worth anything we doubt God's intent and purpose for us. What organizational statement reveals that this organization is operating from a
Christian worldview?

In Abidjan, the Hope Organization is providing an HIV/AIDS clinic to make sure the critical health needs are met of a country plagued with disease. Another way they restored Human Dignity is they set up an Health clinic in Mexico City, Mexico providing care for children who needed it.
Discuss how a God-centered worldview (as discussed in the "The Mystery of Original Sin"
article) might provide a solution. Explain how the organization uses a God-centered
worldview (as defined in the "The Mystery of Original Sin" article) to provide solutions to
the issue.
Hope Worldwide's mission states that they are "Motivated by God's love, we partner with our neighbors in need, equip volunteers, respond to disasters and strengthen communities to inspire greater hope in our world. " (Hope Worldwide, 2022) This is a God-centered worldview and says their goal is to help, provide, and serve others through God's word. If we have a God-
Centered Worldview we will be able to help many more people because will constantly think about how we can serve others and spread love through God.
