Students are expected to address the initial discussion question by Wednesday of each
week. Participation in the discussion forum requires a minimum of three (3) substantive
postings (this includes your initial post and posting to two peers) on three (3) different
days. Substantive means that you add something new to the discussion. This is also a
time to ask questions or offer information surrounding the topic addressed by your
peers. Personal experience is appropriate for a substantive discussion, however, should
be correlated to the literature.
All discussion boards will be evaluated utilizing rubric criteria inclusive of content,
analysis, collaboration, and writing. If you fail to post an initial discussion or the initial
discussion is late, you will not receive points for content and analysis, you may however
post to your peers for partial credit following the guidelines above.

My job is making sure daily needs are met. I assist with feeding, bathing, changing and
daily activities. My plans after finishing school are to work in a doctor office setting as a
medical assistant, as well as going back to school for a nurse practitioner degree.
My degree I'm pursuing is LPN; I have to do this program so I could get my GPA high
enough to be in the LPN program. I see myself applying the information I've learned in
this course to become successful in the medical field.
P.R.I.C.E are the keys to success. I will apply all skills from P.R.I.C.E when meeting with
my Proctor as well as when I'm hands on out on Externship.
If I gave a patient the wrong medicine order from the physician. I
will let the patient
know that they were given the wrong medication. Allowed him to know that everything
should be OK
and know that the physician knows that he ordered the wrong
medication. Also educate them about the side effects of the medication that was given,
if they need more care
the patient maybe ask to go to the ER or after care medical
facility.
For medication as I am not up-to-date with understanding medication I don’t have
knowledge of
reading the side effects I would read the offbrand name of the medication
the generic brand I would also allow myself to have updated knowledge on side effects
of medication. I’m not familiar with I will do
research on unfamiliar medication’s that I
have a knowledge of what I’m giving to a patient.
In my opinionI feel like in this chapter I will take away a lot of information, learning
different medications, as well as understanding the side effects of different medications.
Understanding why certain medications are giving why you can’t give certain types of
medications together just the real knowledge of knowing about different medicines it’s
really big to me because again I’m a CNA so I know about giving care but not so much
about medication she believe this unit this class was teaching me a lot in my medical
career .
My question to my peers is how do you see this class Been helpful in giving you more
knowledge different types of medication as well as the generic brand names?
