Pressure Compensated versus Non-Compensated Orifices ABSTRACT: During this lab we were able to compare the standard pressure adjustable orifice versus the pressure compensated adjustable orifice by using the hydraulic circuit with a hydraulic motor. INTRODUCTION: For doing this experiment, we need two flow control valves, two pressure gauges, one flow meter and one hydraulic motor. During testing step 1 and 2, we need to keep the setting of FC1 while the motor runs at 700 RPM and adjust the FC2 to record the testing data. The only difference between step 1 and 2 is we use pressure compensated adjustable orifice for FC1 in step 1. In step 2, we use the normal adjustable orifice for FC1. The data we need to record is the motor RPM, flow rate, and P. And for this lab report, we need to make a graph to show P versus motor RPM.
