Exhaust Manifolds – After combustion has taken place it is necessary to remove all spent gases
as quickly as possible. Exhaust manifolds, as the name suggests are attached to the cylinder head
exhaust ports which allows hot gases to flow out of the engine into an exhaust system. As with
intake systems, the design of the exhaust manifold is critical to the overall performance of an
engine.
Normally, production exhaust manifolds are made from cast iron due to the excessive heat
produce by the combustion process (>800°C) and at a relatively cheap cost. However for extreme
heat and high gas flow, sculptured steel tubes are used to ensure gases flow equally from each
cylinder especially at high engine speeds with minimum restriction.

A part of the the assignment is to calculate " An estimate of maximum Power your new motor will need to generate to match the Honda’s performance." I can make the assumption, apart from changing the motor, everything else is going to stay the same so the fairing,the rider and etc they're gonna be the same for the two bikes. So can you please tell me how I can calculate that which information would I need ?

Output per hour
Time between tool grinds
Time required to change tools
The wage of the lathe operator is P50.00 per hour, based on actual
working hours. The tool changer costs P60.00 per hour. Overhead
costs for the lathe are P45.00 per hour, including tool-change time.
A set of unsharpened high carbon'steel costs P500 and can be ground
ten times; a set of unsharpened alloy steel costs P850 and can be-
ground five times. Which type of steel should be used?
Solution
High carbon steel:
cycle time = 4 + 1= 5 hours
number of pieces per cycle
Cost per cycle:
Operator = P50 (4)
Tool.changer = (P60) (1)
Overhead = (P45) (5)

MACHINE DESIGN 1 (SUBJECT)
Cutting tools such as mills and drills are connected to machiningequipment by means of tool holders. The cutting tool must be firmlyclamped by the tool holder to achieve precise machining, and shrink-fit toolholders take advantage of thermal expansion properties to achieve thisstrong, concentric clamping force. To insert a cutting tool, the shrink-fitholder is rapidly heated while the cutting tool remains at room temperature.When the holder has expanded sufficiently, the cutting tool drops into theholder. The holder is then cooled, clamping the cutting tool with a very largeforce exerted directly on the tool shank.At 20°C, the cutting tool shank has an outside diameter of 18.0000.005 mm and the tool holder has an inside diameter of 17.950 0.005mm. If the tool shank is held at 20°C, what is the minimum temperature towhich the tool holder must be heated in order to insert the cutting toolshank? Assume that the coefficient of thermal expansion of the tool…
