Mercer Executive Summary
Today’s world places a high value on the uncommon talent of being a great marketer.
Recent studies show that businesses spend over 20% of their income on marketing. Your New
York City business has mastered this component and prospered with modern marketing
innovation. In order to provide you the information you need to make an executive decision, my
organization used historical data to conduct an analytical review throughout 17 cities.
Using Multiple Linear Regression test (MLR) we were able to determine which elements
were important. To assess the relative importance of each component, we used the P-Value vs.
Alpha (0.05). There is a significant value if the P-value is smaller than Alpha. Our analysis
indicated that since the cost of living (0.0434) is less than Alpha, an assessment of it might be
done. Two factors are essential in forecasting the cost of living, according to our analysis.
Because the monthly public transit pass (0.0030) and breed load (0.0330) were lower than Alpha,
the value was significant. The descriptive data of each city are compared using these
components. The standardized residual is on element that adds value. In the event that you have
an outlier, the information can alert you. Based on the statistics none of the 17 cities are regarded
as outliers because they all had significant values that fell between the criteria.
Our MLR will be centered on a monthly pass for public transit and a loaf of bread. We
have the mean as our baseline data. Q1, Q2, and Q3 median. The monthly public transit pass,
with a mean of $78.01, Median of $74.28, Q1 of $41.20 and Q3 of $105.93, is our first
significant predictor that we examined. Eight cities are above the mean, four are in the first
quartile, and four are in the third quartile, according to our statistic. The price of a loaf of bread,
with a mean of $1.47, median $1.37. Q1 of $1.04, and Q3 of $1.77, is the next important
predictor that we looked at. Seven cities are above the mean, four are in the first quartile, and
four are in the third, according to the data. London’s cost of living index was 11.67% lower than
our baseline of New York City, but the monthly public transit pass there cost 43.64% more.
Based on the data, three cities (Sydney, London, and Dublin) are eliminated from consideration
since their monthly public transit passes cost more than the baseline. Based on my statistic, I
believe that major cities with plenty of resources for growth are those located in the first quartile.
Based on our analysis of the 17 cities, we believe that Mumbai is the ideal place to
expand. The cost of living index in Mumbai is 31.74, which is near 69% less than where you are
now. A loaf of bread costs $0.41 and a monthly public transportation pass costs $7.66, according
to the predictors. Mumbai is almost 90% less expensive when compared to New York City when
taken as a whole. These results showed that Mumbai’s population does not face severe financial
hardship and has opportunity for improvement. Instead, they live paycheck to paycheck. This is
the greatest city, in my opinion, for your business to succeed because the people living there will
have the means to purchase the goods for your business promotion. We value your time and
believe that you have confidence in our business.
