SIOP Focus with an explanation of how the teacher will implement (3):
Lesson Preparation: I will state the lesson objective before the class starts and the objective will be posted throughout the whole lesson.
Building Background: We will begin by adding small numbers and using previous words they have heard such as, adding like units.
Strategies: There will be posters displayed with the steps of every stage of adding large numbers in the front of class.

Organization: Students will be given chunks of papers with explanations and they will arrange the steps in order of how to add a large number.
