It gives you, the learner, the opportunity to demonstrate to yourself and your professor how far you have moved towards achieving an understanding of the planned learning outcomes and what other unanticipated gains you have made. Below, provides a short response (minimum five (5) grammatically correct sentences) for each question. Be sure to review the marking rubric at the end of this document. Refer back to your class notes, assignments, and other course material to help guide your responses. DO NOT DO ANY RESEARCH FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT. NO POINT FORM. 1. How has your learning strategies, with regards to online classes, changed or improved over the course of the term? By attending the online classes, I have improved my learning strategies as the flexibility of online class has trained me to stay organized and focused. By attending the online classes, I have established a routine on creating a learning schedule and stick to it. It determines how I should allocate my time to complete assignments, and review material. Also, I am also well trained on eliminating distractions during study time. To ensure that, I will turn off my phone, close unnecessary tabs, and find a quiet space to work. Moreover, I have also learned to use a variety of study materials, such as video lectures and written notes to keep my learning fresh and interesting. 2. How has your ability to research information changed or improved over the course of the term? Over the course of the term, my ability to research information has improved. I have learned to develop a clear research question or objective to help me focus on the relevant information. It helps to save my time from screening irrelevant information and increase my efficiency on completing research assignment. I also learned the importance of choosing the correct and reliable resources for my research topic. I am also able to narrow my search results based on keywords, date ranges, and other criteria. The improvement was brought by the course, as it provides opportunities to allow me to practice on my research skills.
3. How has your ability to use MLA or APA changed or improved over the course of the term? My ability to use MLA or APA has improved over the course of the term. Given that the course requires students to use citation precisely, it provides opportunities for me to practice on using the correct citation style. Meanwhile, the Seneca library has also helped a lot on providing guidelines on using citation correctly. It has allowed me to complete my citation in the research paper in an efficient way. The tool also helps me to avoid any errors occurred in my citation. 4. What is the biggest concept or idea that you have taken from this course? What do you think you will remember about this course in 5 years? One of the most important concepts or ideas I took away from the course was the need of properly managing people to achieve organizational goals. Understanding the function of human resources in attracting, selecting, developing, and keeping personnel, as well as the legal and ethical concerns involved in these procedures, is essential. Also, I believe that I will still remember the importance of creating a positive organizational culture in 5 years. This concept emphasizes the responsibility of human resources in developing workers' attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours to create a supportive, engaging, and productive working environment. Organizations may boost employee retention, performance, and overall success by fostering a pleasant culture. As good human resource management is a critical component of organisational success, I believe this concept will still be relevant and valuable in 5 years.
