It keeps students engaged while learning new and different skills. I have always seen students excited about competing with their classmates to see how high they can get on the leaderboard. Healthy competition allows them to want to do their best. It can be used to create different math problems involving multiplication of fractions and then the whole class can compete against each other to see how their understanding about the subject is. It provides the student and the teacher with useful feedback that can help students meet their learning goal.
