1. You sent the survey to all 20 employees and 15 respond. State the population. -
Employees of Company ABC
2. State the level of measurement of the Employee ID variable -
2 -Employee ID is a Nominal level of measurement
3a. Using Excel, copy and paste below the descriptive statistics results for the Pay Rate variable.
3 – 50.67
3b. State the mean of the Pay Rate variable. -
the mean pay rate - 48.6
3c. State the standard deviation of the Pay Rate variable. -
standard deviation pay rate = 7.19
4a. Complete the frequency table of the Ethnicity variable.

4d. Answer the question: Do you think the pie chart, or the bar graph displays the differences in the data
more clearly for the Ethnicity variable? Explain your reasoning in 2 or 3 sentences. -
4- I think the pie chart displays the differences more clearly. The use of three different colors helps the information stand o
The use of numbers within the pie is easier and faster to read the data. 5a. Using Excel, copy and paste below the descriptive statistics results for the Employee Satisfaction variable. -
5- 4 is the descriptive statistics output
5b. State the mean of the Employee Satisfaction variable. -
The mean is 3.8
5c. State the minimum of the Employee Satisfaction variable. -
Minimum employee satisfaction rating is 3
5d. State the Employee ID of the employee with the lowest satisfaction rating. -
The employee's ID is 1410071026

correct 6b. Describe in 2-3 sentences the shape of the histogram in 6a. Would this be considered symmetric or skewed? If skewed, describe the skewness. The shape of the Histogram is two small on the outside and two tall on the inside. With this pattern the histogram would be symmetric.
7a. Create, copy and paste below the 5-number summary for the Age variable.
minimum - 35 LQ- 38 Median- 42 UQ- 58 maximum- 60
7b. Create, copy and paste below the box plot (i.e. box & whisker) of the Age variable.
Week 5: Part II
8) 25%
9) 8/15 x 8/15 = 64/225 = 28%
8/15 x 7/14 = 56/210 = 27%
10) 3/15 = 20% 11) 34 – 48/ 7 = -2 z score
12) The z score tells us the two standard deviations away from the mean, being a negative and the pay rate is less than the mean. 13)

Age
My correlation coefficient is positive because the line of best fit is moving up and to the right. The leading coefficient is positive because it is greater than zero. Age is more strongly correlated because the R number is closer to 1. This indicates a positive association.

Age and Payrate Regression
Age
Payrate
To find a pay rate at specific age use y=0.5542x + 22.344 where x is age.
For a 45-year-old y = 5542*(45) + 23.344 = 47.28
For a 55-year-old y = 5542*(55) + 23.344 = 52.83

C - This is a two-tailed test. The hypothesis included values in both directions from the standard. D -
If I decide not to reject the null hypothesis, I would be making a Type II error.
E - If the true satisfaction rating of ABC employees is 3.2 the Type I error would be rejecting
the hypothesis that μ
is equal to 3.2 when, in fact μ
is equal to 3.2. 16) I chose T-Distribution. t = 3.3 -3.2

The decision I can make regarding the null hypothesis is it cannot be rejected. I would answer managements question: Are female sales representatives at Company ABC as equally satisfied working at the company as male representatives would be yes. The average group female population is assumed to be equal to the average of group male population. The difference between the sample average of group female and group male is not big enough to be statistically significant. Gender
