2 Module 3 Assignment 1. Congruent Triangles: Congruent triangles are identical in shape and size. Their corresponding sides and angles are equal. For example, if two triangles have all sides and angles equal, they are congruent. Sum and Difference:  Sum: The result of adding two or more numbers. For instance, the sum of 4 and 7 is 11.  Difference: The result of subtracting one number from another. If you subtract 3 from 9, the difference is 6. Mass: Mass is the amount of matter in an object. For instance, if an object has a mass of 5 kg, it contains 5 kilograms of matter. 2. Square Root:  a. √25 = 5  b. √81 = 9  c. √(1/36) = 1/6 3. Pythagorean Theorem: The Pythagorean Theorem (a² + b² = c²) finds the length of the hypotenuse in a right-angled triangle. Its real-life application is vast, from construction (ensuring buildings are stable) to navigation (calculating distances). 4. Probability: Probability is the likelihood of an event occurring. The formula is P(E) = (Number of favorable outcomes) / (Total number of possible outcomes). For instance, the probability of rolling a 6 on a fair six-sided die is 1/6. 5. Types of Angles:  Acute Angle: Measures less than 90 degrees.  Right Angle: Exactly 90 degrees.  Obtuse Angle: Measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.  Straight Angle: Exactly 180 degrees.  Reflex Angle: Measures more than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees. 6. Area Formulas:  Circle: A = πr²  Triangle: A = 0.5bh  Parallelogram: A = bh  Trapezoid: A = 0.5(a + b)h 7. Unit Conversion: 2.5 meters = 2500 millimeters (1 meter = 1000 millimeters). 8.
