Preparing for the Exam
The third exam covers everything we’ve reviewed in our class lectures, the assigned textbook
readings listed in the syllabus, and our in-class discussions. You need a good grasp of every
chapter I’ve assigned since exam two. You need a good understanding of the details and the
subtleties from the assigned textbook readings as well as the additional context and concepts
from the lectures. Read the assigned textbook chapters and review your reading notes and lecture
notes to do well on this exam. You should be able to define, describe and apply the key terms,
and know the difference between various concepts and terms.
Taking the Exam
You will take the exam on Blackboard on Tuesday, November 1 between the hours
of 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. The exam is open notes and open textbook, but you MUST
take the exam independently.
We will
NOT
meet in the classroom to take the exam. You can take the exam on your
own time between the hours of 3:30 and 6:30 p.m., and you can complete the exam in any
location that has access to the Internet (e.g. at home, the library, ODS, etc.)
You can access the exam on Blackboard anytime between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on
Tuesday, November 1. If you have issues accessing the exam,
email our teaching
assistant Da-young Kang at
dkang9@crimson.ua.edu
.
You will have 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete the exam. If you have accommodations,
your exam length will match your accommodation criteria.
You may also still choose to take the exam at ODS if you have accommodations. Please
reach out to ODS to schedule.
The exam will include 50 multiple choice questions.
You may use your notes (handwritten notes from class, printed out lecture slides, etc.),
and the PR textbook to complete this exam.
Take the test independently. Be aware of the Honor Code and what happens should you
violate it.
