and why you chose this field.

Write a sentence or two summarizing the type of career you want to have after earning your
degree at SNHU.

Write a sentence or two summarizing what you hope to do with your degree and how it will
benefit you, your family, and/or your community.
[I am currently working towards earning my bachelor's degree in psychology with a focus on
child development. Choosing this field was a goal of mine because i enjoy working with kids and
finding positive solutions to their behavioral problems. Being that i have a past in the system as a
child, i feel that i can relate to children whose in similar situations and try to find a solution for
their problems.]
2.
Write three academic goals relating to your academic personal mission statement that are
achievable in the next six months (short-term). Include how/why these goals will help you be
successful in achieving your academic personal mission statement.
a.
Goal #1: [Finishing assignments before their due dates]

How/Why? [By starting early and studying the field of child development in
psychology. I know this goal is important because assignments must be completed
by their due date, so there is no reason why i shouldn't take the initiative and
complete assignments on time. ]

Goal #2: [Earn As for my first three months. ]

How/Why? [It is important to get good grades in order to graduate. I believe good
grades should be required to the best of my ability because its important that i study
and obtain the knowledge and experience needed in this field.]

How/Why? [Being motivated to achieve is important because i should always be
motivated to follow my dreams, which is to be a youth counselor and i can achieve
this by studying for psychology and child development,.]
