The software is able to provide detailed information in every question that we throw at it. It can also help write stories and even fictional episodes about TV shows that have aired in the past. ChatGPT possesses a very large storage of knowledge about general topics. For example, when inputting information about an historical event, concepts relating to mathematics, or scientific findings, the service is able to output information and explanations in extreme detail. You can also choose whether how much information you want it to put out. It can be asked to provide the 50 most important words of the previous output that can help you understand what the necessary information about the topic is. Chat GPT also has the ability to aid users in solving a wide range of problems from the most common ones to the most critical important ones by listing them in steps. The service can also help improve on the user’s communication and written skills. It is able to help with punctuation, grammar and style of various forms of essays, literature and other written media. For example, you can ask it to write a story about a dog looking for a bone in various scholarly levels from kindergarten through college. The service is also useful in helping out coders and programmers in fixing issues with their code. For example, it can provide useful information for beginner and experienced coders through snippets of their codes that can generate the output that they want them to. ChatGPT can act as a tutor with learning new vocabulary and translating words into the language of your choice. For artists and other creative minds alike, you can ask the service for new ideas to projects that you like to work on. A different design on a piece of artwork and asking it to create a different shocking ending of a book that the user would have never of thought of. ChatGPT can also provide medical advice to users who seek it. For example, people who were recently diagnosed with diabetes can research and see what lifestyle changes they will have to undergo in order to get back to a pre-diabetic state. ChatGPT is well-versed with pop culture, books, music and movies. You can ask it to provide the latest on the most popular trends and it can give you a wide variety of entertainment interests that are selected based on your preferences. ChatGPT can

help travelers wishing to explore new places and help them learn about the differences in the cultures they will be visiting to better suit their mannerisms. There are many positive ways that ChatGPT can help benefit society. For example, it can aid in time management for many situations. It can provide ideas for an essay that you need to type and then can give you specific details on the information that you feed it. Going off the idea of helping students off with essays, the service can help you with providing assistance. We all have experienced “writers block” before when writing an essay, and we can use ChatGPT to help us overcome the barrier so that we can continue to push through the burnout we have. A benefit of ChatGPT is that is accessible 24/7 meaning that it is always available. ChatGPT can also be a discussion partner that can provide its own insights into the rhetorical questions that you input. You can use it to also provide a different viewpoint that can help you gain a better understanding of the question. ChatGPT also has its downsides of using the service. It is important to note that the service should not be used to replace an expert’s opinion. For example, people searching for medical advice on an illness should seek the help of a doctor rather than a generative AI. Another problem with the service is that it can provide inaccurate information that can be outdated. Currently the free version of the software has its latest training data up to September of 2021 meaning that any event occurring after that date has no information in the system making it inaccurate. While using ChatGPT to assist you in your everyday life is fair game, it is important for us to not become dependent on the software as it can discredit critical thinking. Since the beginning of the year, generative AI is becoming more and more technologically advanced and can be used with both positive and negative impacts on society as a whole. However, there are some ethical implications as a result of using the service. For example, fake content can be created that can be used to damage the reputation of an individual or company. Also, there is a concern about privacy. ChatGPT is able generate personal information that can raise questions about if people’s privacy is really respected. Finally, there are some long-term consequences that can result from the use of the service. Misinformation can continue to spread and become more believable until we are at the point of when we can no longer distinguish between what is credible and what was falsely written from a generative AI service.
