Healthy soil is the foundation of any fruit and vegetable garden, whether or not we're referring to the
growing in the earth, in grow bags along with containers, and also raised beds plus planters.
For flower beds and also vegetable gardens, till about three inches of the compost into the top six
inches of fairly dry garden soil.
For all our tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and also other vegetable plants – we fill each hole with a
decent shovel full of compost before we drop in the plants.
To Mulch or Not
I did previously believe that I really needed an inch or two of this bark mulch all around, many
gardening resources really preach making use of woody mulches, having said that the compost is
really a superior mulch on its own so a sprinkling of the pretty bark mulch would suffice to beautify
the bed.
Making use of the natural and organic methods, include a little mulch or compost, and you'll be
headed in the right direction to create good soil for your home–grown vegetables.
We mulch every one of our annual plantings using an inch or two layer of compost around each
individual plant.
Simplest Composting Methods

Literature Review Literature About Packaging
Literature Review
Packaging:
Packaging can be understood in various definitions and provide many functions within itself. In
terms of marketers, it is the brand image, packaging represents the worth of the brand and how the
brand wants consumer to perceive their products. An attention seeker, stealing the fame on the shelf
full of competitors. Packaging also acts as protection for the product. Some are more protected if
they're fragile where as some may only be under a clear plastic wrap. High involvement products

also mentioned another reason to why packaging as become so significant. There is an increase in
recognition that packaging can bring out point of differences and disparity of brand identity. There
are many factors marketers have to study upon in maximizing its ability to differentiate its brand
among the others for consumers to notice. Therefore, it is important to take in consideration how
consumers perceive a product when they stand in front of the shelf. The five senses, which are the
most important sense to focus on. Things like colours, do consumer take colours of packaging
differently when it comes to culture difference? Do consumer retrieve memory of product packaging
when its unplanned purchase or incidental purchase? Consumers with different level of involvement,
would they view packaging differently? The impact of packaging to consumer buying behavior lies

Essay on Advertising Through Social Media
In today's business world, social media is being discussed on a daily basis. This phenomenon has
taken over the marketing and advertising industries and has changed the way they handle their
efforts to attract customers. There is a big misunderstanding that social media are only popular
networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, but as defined by the Merriam–Webster dictionary,
social media are "forms of electronic communication (as Web sites for social networking and micro
blogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal
messages, and other content (as videos)." The rise of these online communities has given companies
an opportunity to engage in conversations with their customers. This in

The combination of these social networking efforts resulted in approximately 2,000 Facebook fans
and 15,000 views on YouTube. Within a couple of weeks Toyota experienced an increase in sales,
especially in their Sienna model (Taylor, 258). Toyota is a clear example of a company facing both a
financial and reputation crisis that with the help of social media was able to regain some of their lost
sales as well as their trust amongst its costumers. Clearly social media can have a direct impact on
consumer purchasing patterns, and it has increased the amount of online shopping for several
companies. Authors Chung and Austria examine in their article Social Media Gratification and
Attitude towards Social Media marketing Messages, the effect that this phenomenon has had on
online shopping value: "According to the "2010 Social Media Report" from ForeSee results, 69% of
online shoppers use social media. Fifty–six percent of shoppers indicate that they visit e–retail
websites on a social networking site and that website visiting affects consumer purchase intention"
(?). Costumers find it convenient to visit a company's Website after seeing an ad in any popular
social networking site. It requires minimal effort form the customer and it signifies an important
portion of sales to a company. However, Social Media has not only had a positive financial impact
on a company, but as it rapidly grows it has now

Jingles are a type of rhyme, and they've been around for quite a long time. They were initially

Why Is The First Earth Day Successful
2020 marks for the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day; the focus will be to end plastic pollution
(Earth Day). The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970, it was celebrated all throughout the
United States. Currently, it's a global event that people from all over the world celebrate. Before the
movement started in the 1970's, a great oil spill happened in Santa Barbara, California 1969. Thus,
the oil spill encouraged Senator Gaylord Nelson to have a day, to specifically focus on helping the
environment and teach the public about natural disasters (History of earth day). As a result a year
later, millions of people went to the streets protesting for the negative impacts of more than a
hundred years of industrial development on the environment. The natural environment has been on a
road of destruction ever since the industrial revolution. In addition, humans are overwhelmed with
gaining wealth that they have ignored the natural environmental needs for hundreds of years. It can
be said that this movement has been a great success in protecting the environment with all the
participation of the civilians. There are three main reasons why Earth Day is successful: The first, is
the strong focus of the movement, which promotes public awareness of pollution problems, the
second, is all the positive influence the main media has have for the movement, and lastly, is the
overall knowledge that people receive after participating in an Earth Day activity.

The Most Memorable Meal Essay
The Most Memorable Meal
As a food lover and adventurous eater, I've certainly eaten so many kinds of food from many
countries around the world. And I have a lot of good and bad moments related to food. However,
when you ask me about the most memorable meal that I have eaten in my life, perhaps the first thing
that appears in my mind is my daddy's soup.
It was 10 years ago, when I was just a little boy. At that time, my mom had so much work at her
office and she just couldn't come back home until 9 p.m. In my family, my mom was the only one
who could prepare food and cook. So when she called my dad and said that she couldn't come back
home early to cook a meal for me and my father, we thought that we were having the biggest
problem in

And I was so surprised about my dad's soup. All my thoughts about a great meal were taken down.
The soup was not as delicious as it looked, it tasted so weird: at first, I felt it so salty, after a while, it
tasted so spicy. After tasting the first sip, I looked at my dad and smiled. He just thought that he was
successful with his soup until he tried his first sip. Then he knew how his soup was and he said
"Sorry son, I tried my best, maybe we can wait for mom to come back home and cook dinner for
us." As soon as he finished speaking, I took the spoon, continued eating the soup and smiled. I know
the soup was not good, but it was from my dad, from all his love for me. I don't know if my dad
knew what I was thinking or not, or maybe he thought that I was so hungry to eat everything even
though it tasted too bad. My dad was so surprised about my act for a while, and he continued to eat
the soup with me. We both had a great time together, eating and talking with each other about bad
things, good things at work and school. After that, my mom finally came home. She looked so tired
from her work, but she still smiled and looked at me and my dad while both of us were eating soup.
She surely knew my dad made something for me and she slowly went forward to the table and
started tasting the soup. After her tasting, not a single word, she hugged both of us with her slender
arms and also with all her heart. This

Essay on Website Design
Facebook, Myspace, Yahoo, Google, and Twitter are all websites that people use every day, but how
did they get there and how were they created? Website design is a process of assorting and linking
codes and graphics into a text editor such as notepad and then displaying it onto a web browser.
There is a large amount of things to remember for website design. Ranging from HTML
, CSS, and
XHTML codes to scripting languages like Java Script. Website design has a vast history considering
it is a fairly young profession. Website design uses complex codes to create web pages in addition
with programs aiding in the creation; when you join the two components together it is a long
complicated process that ends in purchasing a domain name for a

Websites did not need to be big, elaborate, and flashy. They just needed to get the point across, and
that is exactly the purpose they served. In 1994 the World Wide Web Consortim or W3C was
established to oversee the development of web technology standards. The W3C designated HTML
as the primary code language for the future of website design to be based on. Of course they have
made advancements in the base design code such as HTML versions one, two, three, four, and
XHTML. The very first and current director of W3C is Tim Berners–Lee. Tim actually invented the
World Wide Web in 1991 and created the world's first website. He put the first website online on
August 6, 1991. The web address was http://info.cern.ch/. Unfortunately it no longer exists in its
original form. The W3C is still in charge of code techniques and development guidelines that
website development follows. Technology has advanced over the years in web design. Website
design is cut up into four generations. The first generation of web design was very simple. It was
basically just text, this was because early modems were very slow and plain basic webpages would
load much faster this way. The second generation was slightly more advanced as the development of
HTML became more complicated. The third generation of web design is when website designers
could add vibrant colors and animated images to their webpage. The evolution of websites and their

Technology in Teaching and Learning Essay
Educational technologies are being utilized in every way shape and form, from inline gaming to
numeracy, literacy and painting by numbers. From learning to leisure we have embraced the
internet, in online chat rooms we communicate, interact and move into future learning through
educational programmes and technology that lets us learn virtually. Instruction and directions are
sent across cyberspace which change perceptions and give us an insight into different cultures far
away across the other side of the world .The enigma that is cyberspace has the capacity to change
our way of thinking, learning and teaching, and it is this teaching aspect that most interests me. As

This technology helps students to demonstrate their potential and develop social constructs that aid
in collaborative learning and in turn teaching. It is access to interactive technology, the internet,
whiteboard or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that has given me an entertaining platform on
which to engage learners. Most of this generation of teens have the advantage of being digitally
aware, with on–line gaming, Face book and Twitter part of everyday conversations. For these
learners keyboard skills are almost inherent, yet for some it has generated a further problem. It is the
letters on the keyboard itself that creates a barrier to interactive action learning, this is the case for
some of my students and indeed for myself as a facilitator of learning for non readers.
Dearing, (1997 p.20) mentions.
"New technology is changing the way information is stored and transmitted. This has implications
for both the skills which higher education needs to develop and the way in which it is delivered.
Universities may invest millions of pounds in the provision of computer hardware without ever
seriously considering the educational results such investment may deliver.
This is true of Entry level learning also. Mumford, (1995 pp.55–57) "However, the student must be

Customer Service Essay examples
Companies are misguided nowadays by the notion that customers depend on them, when the truth of
the matter is that companies are dependent on those customers. Customer satisfaction and customer
loyalty is now essential for a business or company to survive. So what is the difference between
customer satisfaction and customer loyalty and how to companies and or business achieve this? Also
when you have difficult customers how do you achieve customer satisfaction?
It's essential that companies or businesses today listen to their customers. No company or business
today can afford to disregard the importance of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Aren't they the
same thing? No, they are absolutely not and they are enormously
...show more content...
Customer loyalty is much harder to obtain that customer service satisfaction. The most important
first step is to satisfy the customer by meeting their expectations. Customers only give a company
one chance and if they aren't satisfied they will not do business with that company again, as well as
tell others of their experience. The next step would be to exceed the customer's expectations. If a
business goes above and beyond to assist the customer they begin to build loyalty. The next step is
to truly surprise the customer. In order to dominate the marketplace the company must find a way to
make them selves stand out with their product or service, accompanied with phenomenal customer
service. Once this has been done customer satisfaction and loyalty will be gained. "Acquiring a new
customer can cost four or five times more than keeping a current customer" (Bestmark, 2013). So
it's essential to keep the current customer's happy and coming back for more.
Some of the ways that businesses can build loyalty would be by offering loyalty programs,
Interacting with customers, surveys, creating institutional ties, and personalized marketing
. Another
way to build loyalty is to treat your employees so well that they treat your customers well. If you
have happy employees they will treat your customers happy. "The link between satisfaction and
loyalty however is not proportional" (Kotler, Keller, 2009, p71), so businesses must

Greatest Invention Essays
What is the greatest invention of all time?
Throughout time there have been lots of new inventions which have both hindered and helped
everyday life with humans. There are many different possible world's greatest inventions because
they have all helped out humankind in some way, some more than others.
I think that the greatest invention of all time is Harnessed Electricity. Some may argue that this was
not an invention it was a discovery but although electricity itself was a discovery there was still the
invention of had to use it and what it could be used for. I think that electricity is very important to
human life because it would be nearly impossible to do anything we do today. If we didn't have

I believe that the use of electricity in healthcare is more important than the use of penicillin because
of the x–rays, MRI scans, life support machines, cat scans, ultrasound, surgery lighting, heart rate
monitors, incubators and loads of other much needed specialist equipment. This equipment has over
the years helped to save millions of lives and although penicillin helps to treat the odd few illnesses
it doesn't help to run a well equipped hospital which saves even more lives with the billions of
people who visit a hospital every year.
Without electricity there would be no light and it would constantly be dark from around 4pm ever
day. This would restrict most people from doing things because as soon as it was dark they would
have to go to bed because there would be no lighting. Nobody could go out after dark as there would
be no street lights on the roads and houses would have to be lit by candle light which wouldn't give
of the strength of light that a light bulb does now. Yet again it would be exactly like living in the
dark ages.

The Dangers of Social Media Essay
Like technology, our species has adapted to fit modern times. Through these adaptations, we have
begun to communicate through our newly developed technology by means of social media. In
today's society, we are surrounded by sites such as Facebook, Twitter, E–Mail, and various other
websites that can often times consume our lives. While social media has plenty of advantages, it also
has disadvantages that often times get ignored. As Internet users, it is important to examine these
disadvantages and make sure we understand the negative sides to social media. As social media has
become the easiest way to communicate, face–to–face interaction is slowly becoming a thing of the

Since then, the rates have only increased. Because adolescents are growing up with more access to
social networking, texting and instant messaging on various sites have become prime means of
communication. While this is not necessarily bad, many people feel the need to over–share things
about their personal lives online. More and more people are using Facbeook and more and more
employers are using Facebook to scope out potential employees. If there are inappropriate pictures
and comments all over someone's Facebook page, they are more likely to not receive the job. Some
students get in trouble for things they post on Facebook and Twitter. Some users are beginning to
notice this and have started deactivating their accounts to regain a sense of privacy. CNN's article
"The anti–social network: Life without Facebook", states that some students who are trying to
maintain a professional image for future employment are deleting their pages. Going along with the
privacy issue, some people feel that they no longer want to share personal things with their
Facebook friends. Often times, their friends are people that they barely know, whether they went to
high school together or they may be a friend of a friend. Users feel that these people do not need to
know all of the intimate details of their lives. The same CNN article tells a story about a couple who

Camping Essay
Camping is a fun recreational activity that allows you to enjoy the outdoors, usually amidst all that
Mother Nature has to offer. People go camping in a forest, national park, in the woods, near a river
or lake, and can stay there for one or more nights. There are private campgrounds as well that are
privately owned by people who encourage campers to come and enjoy the nature with them.
Camping trips can be fun when organized properly.
There are many questions that you might want to ask as a new camper. Following is a list of
common questions that every beginner for camping will ask. I'll recommend not to take up camping,
until you get all your questions answered and understand the requirements what all is expected.

equipment as you are not yet experienced in taking care of them.
If you camp at public campgrounds, there is a good chance that you will get a grill or a barbecue and
all the cooking ingredients from the camp store. Aside from that, you will have to carry the other
necessities like clothes, tents, sleeping bags, from home with you.
What Clothes Do I Carry While Camping?
Make sure that you wear full sleeves while camping. It is important to carry some sweaters with you
so that you are protected in case it becomes cold at night in the woods. It is better to take some extra
change of clothes with you. Rain gear is also important, so be sure to bring a poncho and an
umbrella. You will also want to have plenty of extra socks; in case the ones you are wearing get wet.
How To Set Up A camp?
While setting up your camp, you will have to consider a lot of things. Pitching tents at an elevated
spot is essential, but make sure that you don't select a spot on a slope. It would be best to choose a
spot close to a water source like a spring to avoid wasting time in getting water. While looking for
the above two conditions when setting up your tent, also look

meet you find out that the person that you were expecting to meet was the complete opposite. You
thought you were talking to a guy but it ended up being a girl who's confused about what she wants.
No one can tell if you're a

Longest Paper Ever
Mlomeister has given me a link to this site. One day I am not going to get so angry at these types of
things. It's a fact of life and an age–old issue, one that is almost pointless to fight and refute because
it is an incredibly emotional topic and requires a lot time and effort to understand. Not only that, but
there are hundreds and hundreds of sites like this, each one gathering information from each other so
they've created their own religion against religion. Not too many people will delve into the 'why's

But I can certainly see how others might, when they are twisting and misconstruing information.
Here is an example. I wrote, "It's like saying "all Muslims" are terrorists, when obviously they all
aren't. " Snip off the last part of that sentence, and suddenly I am someone who just made a really
unfair and untrue statement, "All Muslims are terrorists." But someone makes a webpage about it,
and all of a sudden its "Scarlett Is Anti Muslim" and then that statement has babies and all of a
sudden I'm misrepresented. Really easy to do. Here is an example taken from the page that started
this whole thing for me: "Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23–24 NAB) If within the city
a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both
out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help
though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife." It is clear that God
doesn't give a damn about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans
"property". That last bit is the author of the webpage's opinion. ( I did a quick search on this fellows
page to see if I could find out his accreditations, not surprisingly there are none. Also not surprising
is his unwillingness to respond to his emails that he gets generated from his site. Oh but you can
