"THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN ENHANCING THE STRATEGIC COMPETITIVENESS OF GLOBAL BUSINESSES" by Lauren Mead October, 2023
Proposed Research Topic Research Problem: The current global business environment is undergoing a substantial transformation as a result of the fast progress in digital technology. The investigation of the influence of digital transformation efforts on the strategic competitiveness of companies is of utmost importance since these initiatives are being progressively adopted by organizations. The primary objective of this study is to investigate and provide a solution to the identified research topic. What is the impact of digital transformation on the strategic competitiveness of multinational corporations, and what are the critical determinants of its efficacy or inefficacy within this framework? Research Setting: The planned research would include a carefully selected cohort of worldwide enterprises in technology, manufacturing, finance, and healthcare. Companies who have recently undergone significant digital transformation will be studied (Tien et al., 2019). This research will leverage real-world experiences and practices of these organizations to provide light on how digital transformation strengthens strategic competitiveness while protecting company identities and sensitive data. Multinational corporations were chosen as the research context because they study the convergence of technology and global corporate strategy, making it relevant to the discipline and having practical implications for businesses in a digitalized and globalized 2
society. This research seeks to better understand multinational organizations' digital transformation challenges and opportunities to stay ahead in the global market. Theoretical/Conceptual Framework To fully understand "The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Strategic Competitiveness of Global Enterprises," the next research will use several academic theories and conceptual frameworks. The Resource-Based View (RBV), developed by Jay B. Barney in 1991, is essential to this research. This approach emphasizes an organization's unique resources and capabilities for a sustainable competitive edge. In digital transformation, the Resource-Based View (RBV) thesis explains how firms may utilize their digital assets, technology, and talents to boost strategic competitiveness. The project will also utilise Dynamic Capabilities Theory, created by David J. Teece in 1997. This concept is critical to understanding how firms may adapt their strategy and processes to embrace emerging digital technologies. The research emphasises agility and reactivity in digitally-oriented companies. Healthcare information system concepts like the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology will be examined in health science. This hypothesis explains the multiple factors affecting digital health technology adoption. The provided research addresses change management and technology adoption in business and health science, which is relevant to the ideas above (Brunetti et al., 2020). These theories will offer a solid theoretical platform for studying how digital 3

transformation affects strategic competitiveness in multinational firms (Chen et al., 2021). These ideas will illuminate resource allocation, innovation, change management, and technology adoption. The chosen theories will give a thorough framework for understanding digital transformation and its implications in numerous organizational settings. Research Gap The aforementioned theoretical foundation and conceptual framework provide a robust basis for comprehending the influence of digital transformation on strategic competitiveness within the context of global enterprises. Nonetheless, a deficiency in research exists within the healthcare business, particularly in the context of the health science emphasis. While the current body of literature provides insights into digital transformation in various business contexts, there is a distinct research gap that necessitates a focused investigation into the specific challenges and opportunities associated with digital transformation in the healthcare sector. This research should particularly emphasize the impact on patient outcomes, data security, and regulatory compliance (AlNuaimi et al., 2022). The primary objective of this study is to address the existing disparity by examining the complexities associated with the digital transformation within the healthcare business. This investigation will provide significant contributions to both the academic and industrial domains, hence enhancing understanding in this crucial area. 4

Proposed Methodology The study will use a technique of secondary data analysis. The rationale for choosing this technique is in its capacity to provide a comprehensive analysis of preexisting data pertaining to the influence of reality television on societal views and actions. The factors under consideration include social views and actions that are impacted by the content of reality television. The factors under investigation will be examined via a comprehensive review of extant literature, scholarly research, and a meticulous content analysis of pertinent reality television programs (AlNuaimi et al., 2022). The retrieval of data will be conducted via accessing publically accessible sources, academic databases, and trustworthy research repositories. The primary objective of this study will be to undertake the synthesis and analysis of data derived from a comprehensive range of past studies, reports, and content archives pertaining tso reality television shows. The primary tools used in this study will include academic databases, scholarly publications published between 2019 and 2023, and content archives of reality television programs. These resources will be utilized as secondary data sources for the purpose of analysis. Summary The study will be carried out via the implementation of a thorough literature review and content analysis of reality television programs.
