Explain the value of analyzing organizational behavior from the individual, group, and organizational perspective. What do you think is the benefit of understanding these three perspectives and their impact on organizational behavior overall? Organizational behavior is the study of human behavior in operational settings. The nature of organizational behavior has three interfaces: human behavior in Organizational settings, the Individual- Organization interface, and the organization. All components of this structure interface with the environment. Understanding and conforming an organization into a well-functioning operation requires understanding of each form of organizational behavior. The individual perspective helps identify traits that can motivate production or creativity. Understanding the driving factor of individuals assists managers with paring groups of individuals together. Properly formulated groups can help an organization, whereas groups structured without understanding individuals intragroup can cause conflict. From an organizational perspective, it is important to understand operational, cultural, structure, and diversity within the organization. Employee behavior can impact the success of a business. Businesses with happy and engaged employees generally perform better as an organization. Managers need to build a relationship with their team based on honesty, trust, and recognition for their performance. At the same time, a manager must meet the organizational quota. The successful reduction of job turnover and increased operational performance is connected to a manager's understanding of organizational behavior. A manager must plan, organize, and lead if they’re to be successful (Griffin et al., 2023). According to the article by Thomas Armstrong, there is a connection between operational behavior and faith. The website provides information on the stages of faith a person experiences from birth to adulthood. Although business and faith are different, the experiences are similar.
