3 Component B Introduction The report will delve into a comprehensive assessment of learning outcomes LO2 and LO4 by reflecting on the essential soft skills, project management competencies, and team dynamics crucial for managers and team members involved in the global project analyzed in the Assignment. The project will focus solely on the project team I meticulously examined in Assignment A. The key members of the project team included the project leader, regional coordinator, financial officer, technical team, administrator, and legal team. I want to better comprehend the aspects that affected the team's efficacy and productivity by investigating the team dynamics, project management abilities, and interpersonal relationships. 8 Self-Reflection Soft Skills and Other Competencies for Managers/Team Members Reflecting on the soft skills and other competencies of the key members of the project team, it is evident that effective communication is vital for success. In a global project team, when members are located in various countries and time zones, information must be communicated in a way that is clear, timely, and culturally appropriate. The regional coordinator's limitations as a multitasker and communicator raise the risk of miscommunication and project delays ( Sandhu, 2018) . Therefore, the team's priority should be strengthening communication to guarantee effective teamwork. The success of a worldwide project team with varying specializations depends on the team's ability to work together effectively. By emphasizing working together, the team will be able to better use each member's unique abilities and experiences. The team's dedication to this crucial soft skill is displayed in how they work together and are willing to adapt their approach to include the needs of different stakeholders and beneficiaries (Muller & Sankaran, 2017). By valuing and including everyone on the team in the decision-making process, you can boost creativity, problem-solving, and, ultimately, the project's success. The project manager and the regional coordinator should have strong leadership and empowerment skills. Leaders need to possess strong leadership abilities to advise and encourage their people. You may boost morale and productivity by giving everyone on your team more say in how things get done. A more competent and inspired team might result from the project manager's involvement in talent identification. Allowable weaknesses like shifting responsibility to others may dampen team morale and lead to unfair distribution of tasks; thus, it is important to solve this issue. Conflicts arise in every project but are more common when team members come from various cultural backgrounds. Successful conflict resolution and negotiating skills are essential for resolving disagreements in a way that does not disrupt the project ( Sandhu, 2018) . The leader's behavioral abilities in conflict management and negotiation greatly influence the project manager's tone for dealing with disagreements and conflicts inside the team and with external stakeholders. The participants' innate cultural intelligence greatly aided the success of the Assignment Part A project. One definition of cultural intelligence is recognizing and working with cultural differences within a team. Cultural intelligence was crucial for a worldwide undertaking, including many distinct farmer organizations and community groups, each with its norms, values, and beliefs. The team's success in this area was on display in the way they were able to connect with and win over stakeholders from all walks of life. Project managers and team members showed exceptional flexibility and adaptation. The team adapted to the project's ever-changing conditions and developed. The team's flexible approach dovetailed well with this competency, enabling them to swiftly adapt to unexpected developments and modify the project's course as needed. Effective project management relies heavily on problem-solving and decision- making skills. Leadership qualities, including anticipation, judgment, and decision- making, were obvious in the project leader's capacity to make educated judgments and
9 effectively address challenges. These skills enabled the project manager to traverse challenges successfully, assess threats, and guide the team toward fruitful conclusions. The leaders and team members of the successful projects also benefited greatly from high levels of emotional intelligence. Understanding and controlling one's own emotions, as well as those of others, requires a high level of emotional intelligence. As a result, teamwork is fostered, and strong connections are formed. For instance, the regional coordinator might use emotional intelligence to compensate for the fact that they can be somewhat preoccupied and poor in their communication. By tuning into their and others' feelings, the regional coordinator can foster an environment where team members feel safe sharing ideas and working together. The finance officer's superior analytic and organizational skills guaranteed that all project funds were prudently handled and distributed. They proved competent in budgeting, planning, and risk analysis, ensuring the project's financial security and success. Throughout the project's execution, the technical team showed technical experience and problem-solving talents, which allowed them to adopt novel solutions and triumph over technical obstacles ( Cripe and Burleigh, 2022) . Because of the team's skill in keeping abreast of developments in their sector, they could use state-of-the-art tools and techniques, boosting the final results of the project. The administrator's abilities in these areas were crucial to the project's continued success. They were able to meet project deadlines because of their meticulousness and skill in coordinating several moving parts. The team's legal expertise and competence in negotiating ensured that the project followed all applicable rules and regulations. Their negotiating and structuring skills protected the project from any possible problems. Team Dynamics in a Global Project Looking back at how the worldwide project team functioned together, it's clear that everyone had their share of strengths and flaws that affected their ability to work together and make decisions. It took time for the team to overcome the communication obstacles and cultural differences that arose from members from many different nations and cultural backgrounds ( Muller & Sankaran, 2017) . Despite these challenges, the team overcame them with the help of their strong regional coordination framework, which allowed for efficient information exchange and coordinated planning across the seven nations engaged in the project. Communicating effectively was one of the most important "soft skills" for successful worldwide project management and teamwork. The group had to overcome linguistic barriers and figure out how to communicate effectively. Team members could better understand diverse perspectives and adjust their communication techniques to account for them thanks to their active listening and empathy, which were crucial in overcoming cultural and communication hurdles. The ability to resolve conflicts effectively was also critical to the team's cohesiveness and productivity. Due to the team's wide range of skills and experiences, conflicts of interest arose naturally; nonetheless, the team's capacity to resolve these conflicts productively was essential for moving the project forward. Managers had a crucial role in creating a culture where differences of opinion were tolerated and resolved via dialogue, compromise, and agreement.

10 Additionally, team members adaptation and flexibility were crucial in a worldwide project. The team's success depended on its members' ability to work effectively across cultural boundaries and adapt to varying work habits, time zones, and local norms. The project was successful because it had a collaborative and adaptable strategy that included project recipients and other stakeholders. In addition to the softer qualities discussed previously, strong leadership was essential for directing the team to success. The project manager was crucial in defining success, guiding the team's efforts, and keeping everyone on the same page. The team's morale, creativity, and sense of shared mission all benefit from the leader's efforts to strengthen these factors. Conclusion Ongoing training and professional development should be encouraged to further improve the project managers and team members' soft skills and abilities. The team may improve their abilities and overcome deficiencies by attending workshops and seminars on effective communication, cross-cultural teamwork, leadership, dispute resolution, and negotiation. Further, a worldwide project's success depends on its team members' ability to continually develop and adapt to the project's changing circumstances. Flexibility and agility helped the team deal with unknowns and developed creative solutions, while cultural awareness helped them work effectively with various stakeholders. Emotional intelligence fostered a constructive work atmosphere, while problem-solving skills led to sound decisions. The skills of each team member were essential to the project's success. Future project teams may boost their capabilities and generate successful results by identifying and developing these soft skills and competencies.
