IRAC Worksheet Facts: Moonshine Coffeehouse Inc. and Aromatic Farms have a longstanding exclusive contract to produce and deliver their "Triple-A" moonshine-infused coffee beans. The parties agree that the price per pallet will be $3000 with a guarantee of 4,000 pallets minimum. MJGreen House, approached Moonshine and informed Moonshine that Aromatic is undercutting Moonshine by withholding 10% of Aromatic's worldwide coffee bean production for sale to Moonshine's competitor coffeehouse Star Tracks Inc. for $2000 per pallet. Moonshine Coffeehouse Inc. canceled the Aromatic contract refusing to purchase any additional pallets from Aromatic. Moonshine Coffeehouse Inc. entered into a new agreement with MJGreen House, Inc., agreeing to purchase the exact quantities of beans from MJGreen House, Inc. ISSUE: #1: The issue is Aromantic Farms could sue MJGreen House for Tortious Interference of the contract between Aromantic Farms and Moonshine Coffeehouse. RULE of LAW: Tortious Interference- the act of intentionally interfering with someone's business through interrupting a business deal, messing with day-to-day operations, or spreading false claims about the business. ANALYSIS: Because MJGreen House began a contract with Moonshine Coffeehouse right after Aromantic broke their contract, there is a high chance MJGreen House lied for their company to get gain. Aromantic should sue for tortious interference. CONCLUSION: worldwide.erau.edu All rights are reserved.
