Specifically, when should a
report be made, and to whom?
Carlifonia has severe child abuse reporting rules, according to Law, N. R. Issues and Answers for
Mandated Reporters. As a school counselor, I must report suspected child abuse and neglect.
Reasonable suspicion of child abuse triggers the requirement. Report promptly or as soon as feasible.
Reports go to local child protective services or the police.
A child abuse reporting officer handles such situations in our school district. The reporting officer
instantly notifies authorities. All staff in our district receive training and resources to better
understand reporting procedures.
What is your philosophy
concerning the issue of child
abuse?
My perspective prioritizes kid safety and well-being. We must safeguard children morally and legally
as educators and caretakers. I believe reporting child abuse is both legal and moral to guarantee
children have a secure and caring environment to study and grow. Early action protects the youngster
