IT4076 2 Operational Management Policy 1.0 Purpose: 1.1 This policy outlines the operation procedures to ensure the systems are kept secure and less likely for a breach to happen, as well as minimizing the risk of information loss. 2.0 Scope 2.1 This policy covers all of High Class Healthcare and all employees, departments, vendors, contractors, and hospitals tied to this organization. 3.0 Policy 3.1 All changes must be approved by the correct parties as well as a description for it. 3.2 Data must be separated on multiple backup services to ensure less of a risk if an incident does occur. 3.3 All data disposed should be disposed of properly and securely. 3.4 All devices will be monitored and all data logged as needed. 3.5 Proper recovery plans should be put into place and followed properly. 3.6 Audit logs must be kept for at least 6 months. Details of the data before and after the audit must be kept.
IT4076 3 Operational Management Policy 4.0 Roles and Responsibilities 4.1 Upper Management will be responsible for the separation of duties and implementing layers of access for the lower level employees, vendors, or partners. 4.2 Patches and updates should be installed regularly and set up to happen whenever it will less likely cause disruptions by the appropriate IT Department or vendors. These updates and patches must be tested before releasing to the other employees, vendors, or partners. 4.3 IT security will ensure that all incoming data and traffic is logged properly. 4.4 Other security professionals must regularly monitor CCTV footage as well as regularly monitoring all areas of the hospital. 4.5 All staff and vendors must keep any confidential information protected or risk civil action or termination. 4.6 All IT staff must log and Identify compromised systems within the hospital's network and patch or manage and alert the proper stakeholders or staff of this issue. 5.0 Enforcements 5.1 All vendors, employees, partners, departments, contractors, within this organization must adhere to this policy or face disciplinary actions, termination, or civil law actions.
