C3. Discussion of Earned Value Analysis and Projections
Due to the project containing five separate teams, each team’s numbers were run
individually, and then totals were provided to view the project as a whole. Currently, the

Premigration and Storage teams are behind schedule, and the Off-site Cloud System team is
experiencing a delay. The Testing team is ahead of schedule and the Migration team is awaiting
the completion of the Off-site team’s completion and one of the Testing team’s tasks to be
completed to begin work. Specific team updates are provided below.
Premigration
- Eva Miller’s team has exceeded their allotted budget, as evidenced by their CPI
of 0.98. The team has used a total of $12,525 from their allotted budget and is projected to need
an additional $12,067.58 before the completion of the project. The team is projected to complete
their tasks on September 5, 2023, but in order to successfully do so they will need an additional
$24,592.58.
Storage
- Omar Patel’s team, is currently also exceeding their allotted budget. The team has used
a total of $7,425 and is projected to incur an additional cost of $5,407.70 before the completion
of the project. The team is projected to complete their tasks on September 4 and will need an
additional $12,832.70.
Off-site Cloud System
- Sara Phan’s team has been successful in staying within their budget.
The team has spent $2,925 so far and is projected to spend an additional $33,097.17. The team is
on track to complete all tasks on November 15, 2023 and will require an additional $36,022.17.
Testing
- Ren Sousa’s team is performing just slightly over budget. They have spent #3,900.00
and will spend another $41,501.63 by the completion of the project. The team is currently
working three days ahead of schedule and is projected to complete all tasks by November 17.
Migration
- Ahmed Williams’ team has not started their tasks yet, due to tasks assigned to other
teams needing to be completed first. With the delay in their start time, the team’s ETC and EAC
are still $14,400.00. The team is projected to complete all of their assigned project tasks by
December 19.

D2. Discussion of Burndown Chart
According to the burndown chart, the project remains encumbered with numerous
outstanding tasks, surpassing those already completed. Notably, on day 18, our progress
exceeded initial projections, evidenced by the completed tasks falling below the expected
trajectory outlined by the orange line.
E. Mitigation Plan
The project is currently ahead of schedule and under budget, as seen in the Earned Value
Analysis and the project Burndown Chart. The project team leaders should use mitigating
strategies in order to ensure everyone stocks to the project's projected completion dates.
The premigration team
