ACME’s mission is to empower
the platform security model by updating adaptability, and educating
patients and employees to make sophisticated, data informed decisions, and streamlining the flow of data between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Organization: Business Needs
ACME has alluded to the eventual transition to the government contract market. In order for this transition to be successful, ACME operations have been audited to reveal some shortcomings that will hinder any partnership with the United States. Once addressed, ACME is confident they would be able to attract lucrative data storage contracts that are HIPAA compliant. ACME’s network will possess the proper bandwidth in order to safely delineate network traffic, keeping PII on a securely configured Wi-Fi business class router with proper firewall structure. The physical security of the ACME facilities will be fortified to assure any breach of brick-and-mortar real estate that house servers, work stations, and all other assets, will be vigorously discouraged and minimal. Lastly, the implementation of a single VPN that will enclose ACME’s entire network, allowing the secure sharing of all electronic PII and other sensitive data with centralized control of user access.
Organization: Scalability
Habitually monitored network architecture will allow for bandwidth growth and latency impacts. As demand for high performance will always be critical to seamless growth, assets will be always poised for recognition of scaling up with updates and upgrades to the network. Consistent monitoring of OSWAP alerts by personnel to foresee and address threats in real time.
Physical security will remain a priority, scaling up as needed based on employee input, industry advances, and physical space needed. ACME’s system wide VPN will be obtained with a service
level agreement, assuring that the VPN remains secure, patched, updated, and relevant to business growth.
Project Completion: Scope
Throughout initiation and completion of ACME initiative, the scope will include numerous
objectives and requirements to conclude the project. Audit result to yield discussions around necessary changes to be accomplished for HIPAA compliance. Provide framework, research summary, protocols, and tools to be developed and implemented by ACME. Provide guidance for possible future scalability and troubleshooting.
Project Completion: Business Impact
All critical upgrades will be done in a way to ensure business resiliency and continuity of operations. This will be accomplished by scheduling essential activities and upgrades during downtimes of day-to-day operations. This will assure that there will be minimal to no loss of sales and income, contractual penalties, and customer impact.
Communication Plan: Goals
The ability to be clear and concise about important information surrounding a project is paramount to its success. It shows a clear understanding of expectations and deficiencies that need to be addressed. The first goal would be timeliness of the information to be examined. Setting time lines to show goal relevance and how its attained. This is where a Gannt chart can come in handy to actually put eyes on where things stand in relation to actual dates. attainability, do we have the capabilities in place to completer the project? Revisiting impending goals to establish that we have existing skills and attributes to achieve our targets. This can include budgets, personnel, materials, and allotted time. Lastly, relevance would be another important goal to stick to when communication is required. Scope Creep: Plan/Address
The provided Gantt chart is the baseline for the project and can help you in future discussions around allotting more time and budget for any changes that deviate from the original deliverables. If there is effective communication is in place, scope creep should be reasonably foreseeable unless a new goal was set forth by stakeholders. As stated above, the roadmap of the Gantt chart, if a deviation needs to occur, utilizing “change request” can help when decisions need to be made. A change request would include description, approach, time needed, risks, cost,
and signatures of people involved/approvals.

The budget can make or break a project. “The project budget estimates all of the costs the project will incur, when they will be incurred, and is a key component of the overall project plan.” Project key performance indicators can be measured against a cost baseline, you can better measure the state of your project as you go, and in some cases, zero in on issues and risks much sooner.
Scope Creep: Communicate
When approaching stakeholders with the reality of scope creep, you better come with answers to their questions! This is where it is a great idea to introduce change requests. They hold all the relevant information a stakeholder will want to know when considering the projects adjustment and justify the change. Stakeholders are not interested in fluff, they are only concerned with tangible data in order to make informed decisions.
