Reflections
This course has taught me a lot about web services, and I now have a more rounded understanding of them. Although I was aware of web services, I had no idea how to use or even set them up. I learned how to build web services applications from scratch in this class's modules
two and three. It was my favorite part of the semester because I found Module 3 to be the most difficult. Through my efforts, I was able to produce something that can converse with the end user. Quizzes, projects, and assignments were all beneficial learning tools. All of the quizzes were based on the material we had covered in class that week. I had the opportunity to review and fix my errors at the conclusion of each submission. I was aware of web services prior to taking this course, but I didn't fully comprehend how they were coded. Even though the majority of us use web services frequently, we hardly ever consider how they function. Despite the apparent risks and dangers, something was off. I was unaware that various programming languages could interact with one another. You can take all the precautions in the world, but if something goes awry, you have no recourse. If a web service is not correctly maintained and updated, you could be in danger of a security breach.
I really appreciated the discussions in this course as a student. This was an excellent opportunity to discuss and clarify to others the differences between various technologies. To keep the students interested, a new subject is covered every week. I learned about APIs, Web Services, protocol architecture, programming languages, and web service architecture all at once when I first started programming in Java. Just being made aware of these services has changed my life. I
learned about many services I was unaware of thanks to this course. These services will also be a
part of my future work, applications, and academic endeavors. I can always refer back to them in
the future, whether it's to brush up on my knowledge or prepare for a new position. I recently discovered that forums on websites you frequently visit could be used to your advantage. All it takes is using user data-input forms to your advantage and waiting for the user to visit that page in order to activate the malicious code. That surprised me. My interest in the technical details of web services has been piqued by this course, and I intend to learn more about
web security in the future. The importance of web security is rising as technology develops. If you frequently visit websites with forums that you frequent, you may be at risk of being exploited. All it takes is using user data entry forms and waiting for the person who sees that page to activate malicious code. This caught me off guard. This course has piqued my interest in web services technology, and I look forward to learning more about web security. As technology
advances, the importance of web security grows.
