What are the pros and cons of using a print server, and what are the pros and cons of using direct IP printing? (Internet research)
Centralized printer administration, enhanced security, and load dispersion are advantages of using a print server. On the other hand, it adds a single point of failure, a difficult setup, and possible network traffic. Direct IP printing, on the other hand, simplifies setup, lowers network traffic, and gets rid of single points of failure. However, it needs more centralized administration, may only provide a modest level of security and control, and can be difficult to expand in bigger networks. The decision between the two is based on the priorities and requirements of the network.
Given what you have learned, how will you deploy the printers?
I will deploy the printers using a print server since this company manages a larger desktop environment.
