Software-defined networking (SDN) has been a revolution in networking. Most network devices have to be manually configured if any changes are required. SDN provides an abstraction layer that separates the physical hardware and allows the programming of network devices. Using SDN, devices can be controlled from a centralized server. But SDN is valid only for networks that require dynamic changes. For organizations that have stable network configuration SDN is not that useful.

This is a nice post. One of the areas that have been addressed in the increased usage of the videos. videos were rarely used in the past as networking was being introduced. However, that is not the case today as most people are turning to videos to help accomplish their tasks, for example, video conferencing with potential partners to avoid the costs of traveling and accommodation, nurses using videos to monitor patients and so on. Other trends that have been discussed in the video include the software-defined networking whereby the networks are operated by software. Lastly, mobile devices and the wireless devices have also been discussed.

Awesome post! In addition, you can also address the threats of vulnerabilities of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) by implementing network access control to enforce policy, compliance, manages access control, monitors and controls activity of devices on a network.
