Student Infographic Presentation (SIP) • Each week, individually, students will answer their assigned questions to present to the class in the form of an infographic. The assignments are from the Stukent Assignments for each Chapter, most have been modified to meet the terms of this class and presentation format. Should your assignment not be clear, you can reference the original in Stukent, then ask me for clarification if needed. • DUE: Wednesday noon of the week you are assigned. • You will sign up for a presentation topic on the Google Docs: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ABA8l7hXt6dMobIspp5cktQjbCSx6LaCQwKyTVVwpn 4/edit?usp =sharing • Do your best, trust yourself, base your answer on the course material. The key is to integrate the course teachings with the assignment answer. Use real life examples, and international examples are great too. You will be graded on the quality of your infographic, the integration of course material, use of real life / market examples and class engagement. Check-out the RUBRIC on D2l to see how you are marked. Infographic Format Infographic format: You will create an Infographic to display your results. Infographics are apps used to usually convey research visually. It is an opportunity to use graphs, images, and any other visual tools you find. free template you want and plan your graphics as it willsave you frustration in the end. Individual Help: Many of you will have created an Infographic for a class in the past and so will have experience with one or more of these software programs and designs. If you have not or are unsure of how to build an infographic, please reach out for help. I am happy to meet in Zoom and walk through any of the MARK 210 F23 2 software programs or have a general discussion on how to build an infographic with you. Timing Instructions Once you have designed yourinfographic, save it and download it. Upload it to the DISCUSSION FORUM on D2l by noon Wednesday ofthe week you have signed up for AS WELL as the Assignment Dropbox. (It goes onto the Discussion forum so that your classmates can ask you questions and goes into the Dropbox so your instructor can mark it). Classmates will post questions until noon Sunday. You have until Sunday midnight to answer all questions. The goal though isto check in daily when its yourInfographic week so that you can answer questions in a timely manner. Sign up for an Infographic week: PLEASE NOTE: 8 % of your Discussion mark is allocated to asking questions on each other’s Infographic. More information can be found on D2l in the Assignment folder. Week of Sept 11 SAP 1 - Chapter 1 - Q1 ASSIGNMENT 1.1 Qualitative vs. Quantitative Research 1. Briefly define “qualitative research” and “quantitative research,” either from the text or from another reliable source. Find a real life example of each and its application. Answer the following questions thoroughly: 2. Your client has developed a prototype of a new water bottle design and would like to get feedback on it. a. As a researcher, would you recommend qualitative or quantitative research? b. What are the advantages of your recommended method? MARK 210 F23 3 3. Your client is moving her fitness center across town. She wants to know what percentage of her current customers are likely to still attend the gym after the move.

SAP 2 - Chapter 1 - Q2 ASSIGNMENT 1.2 Primary vs. Secondary Research 1. Briefly define “primary research” and “secondary research,” either from the textbook or from another reliable source. Answer the following questions thoroughly. 2. Your client produces luxury watches. Leadership wants to know how well the company’s target customers feel the brand reflects the mission statement. The client suggests two possible methods: 1) review a study already completed from the Watchmakers Association that ranks watch makers across the globe, or 2) develop and conduct an original survey with those who bought a watch from the company in the past three years. As a researcher, which option would you recommend? Is your choice primary or secondary research? What would be the advantages of your recommended method? 3. Your client needs to know the latest trends in home automation for her meeting with the board in three days. She suggests you, her research analyst, conduct a survey of the general population and ask about use of home automation devices to determine which are most popular (lighting control, appliance control, thermostat, home security, etc). Her assistant pulls you aside and suggests
