Process Improvement Flowchart The As-Is process flowchart is below. The organization I’ve chosen is from a Walmart ordering system.   As-Is Process Flowchart   Customer comes to the store, browses the products, and selects a product. The customer takes the product to the register. The cashier scans the product (inventory from store) The customer pays for the product. The cashier prints a receipt, and the customer takes their items and leave the store.   Evaluate the efficacy of your process using process improvement techniques .   The most common way of requesting an item from Walmart is somewhat clear and proficient, but there are open doors for development. For instance, the interaction could be worked on by speeding up the checkout cycle, for example, by presenting self-checkout machines or mechanized installment frameworks. Also, the interaction could be improved by acquainting motivations for clients with buy on the web, like limits or free delivery. At last, the interaction could be improved by presenting faithfulness programs for clients, for example, compensations for rehash buys or for alluding new clients.  Define metrics and measure the current process .   The measurements used to quantify the interaction can incorporate the normal time it takes to finish the exchange, the quantity of exchanges each day, the quantity of things bought per exchange, the consumer loyalty rating, and the quantity of client objections. By estimating these measurements, it will be feasible to decide the adequacy of the ongoing system and distinguish areas of progress.   Use process improvement techniques to improve the process. Create a flowchart of the improved process using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, or Excel.   The improved process flowchart is as follows:   Improved Process Flowchart   The customer enters the store, looks around, and decides what to buy. After that, the consumer brings the item to the register. The client is shown the way to a self-checkout machine or a
cashier. The cashier scans the merchandise if the consumer selects that person to work with. After the consumer pays for the item, the cashier records the transaction. Following the printing of a receipt by the cashier, the customer takes the merchandise and leaves. The customer scans the merchandise if they decide to use a self-checkout machine. After purchasing the item, the consumer pays and confirms the transaction. Following the printer's output of a receipt, the consumer grabs their purchase and exits the store. Summary   The goal of this process improvement is to streamline the walmart ordering procedure. Although there is room for improvement, the existing procedure is largely uncomplicated and effective. Metrics including the average transaction time, daily transaction volume, products purchased per transaction, customer satisfaction score, and number of complaints have been found as ways to assess the process. Process improvement strategies have been put into practice, including the introduction of automated payment systems or self-checkout kiosks, incentives for online purchases, and customer loyalty programs. The following is the updated process flowchart:  After entering the store, the consumer looks around and decides on a product. After that, the buyer brings the item to be purchased. The consumer has the option of using self-checkout or a cashier. When a consumer selects a cashier, the merchandise is scanned by the cashier, and the customer makes the payment. Following the printing of a receipt by the cashier, the customer takes the merchandise and exits the store. If the customer opts for self-checkout, they scan the item, pay for it, and the machine issues a receipt. They then take the item and the receipt and exit the store. Shorter transaction times, better customer satisfaction scores, and fewer customer complaints are expected outcomes of the enhanced procedure.  References   Retail Consulting, Innovation, & Insights | Publicis Sapient   What is Business Process Management?
