Cassandra Watson PHE 423 October 1st, 2023 5-2 Short Essay: Program Evaluation Measurement Method Measurement strategy The program that I am evaluating is REACH, a program that is dedicated to non-white people in the United states. The indicators that are being measured for this program I am considering using are Implementation evaluation or process evaluation. This helps gather data after the programs have been put in place and ready to be utilized. When having a program such as REACH, it is important to get feedback to see if these programs are actually working. This includes going into the communities receiving feedback from stakeholders, going to the programs and talking with the staff employees who are working within the programs, being involved with creating the activities and meetings, and also keeping track of sessions of training that are being conducted as well. Gathering all this information to complete an analysis to see if these programs are working is very important to a successful program such as this program. Validity The internal validity of this evaluation Uses data collecting to complete an analysis about the activities and programs they have placed Within REACH and to see any flaws or any strength within. Also, the internal validity of this evaluation makes sure to understand the stakeholders as well. The external validity Within this program uses the community based approach meaning they are involved with the community getting their data straight from the
stakeholders. Reliability Reliability Is having the consistency of measuring tools. meaning that what is being looked for should definitely be the same for it to be reliable. having the Ability to gather information with data collecting Within These programs to create an analysis to have an answer. using after surveys such as follow-up surveys or reviews to definitely input their aftermath of the experience they had within the programs and also for the stakeholders to give feedback on program consistency and how these programs are being implemented as well.
