Design Thinking Gift Project
What problem were you trying to solve for your partner?
My partner wanted something he could use/wear that resembled his liking for a certain show.
What feedback did you receive and how did you revise in response to that?
Some feedback I got after consulting my partner was that he wanted something small that wouldn’t stand
out a lot.
Describe the quality of execution and technique in the use of the materials in your work. How have you
challenged yourself while using the 3D Design software?
Somethings that challenged me a lot was when I was creating the ring outline. It was very difficult for me
to mold the object in the right way so that I could perfect it.
What gives the work its uniqueness? How is it inventive and creative and innovative so that it feels like a
custom, limited edition design for your partner, not a Dollar Aisle product at Target?
Something that makes it unique is that the ring contains the symbol that represents one of his most
favorite characters in a show.
How have you used art and design principles such as unity, variety, contrast, balance, pattern, movement,
and rhythm to design this project?
I have used the art principles of contrast, movement and rhythm in this design.
Was this project meaningful for you? Why or why not? Is there something I could do to improve it?
This project was meaningful for me because it clearly shows how we create something that is meant to help other people
which is going to be important for all of us as we grow up and get a real job.
