TE 533 (001) Lean Six Sigma Quality Assignment – MSA Assignment Name: Katragadda Rohit Kumar Reg ID: 200481343 MSA – Variables Gage R&R Study
Given, from the Gage R&R the reproducibility and repeatability of the operator is found to be 0.00264 and 0.00346 so the Part-to-Part Variation is 0.0012 and the Part Variation is 0.00731 and the total variation is 0.00851. As for a good measurement system the total variation should be <10% but the variation is around 26.33 so we found that the measurement system is not an optimal one. As the total variance of Part- to-Part is around 73.77%. From the Gage R&R the reproducibility of the operator 1 is better than the operator 2 and 3 and the standard deviation is more for part 2 for the operator 2 and the standard deviation is more for part 3 for the operator 3. The repeatability of producing same results for the parts 2 and 3 is found to be different than repeatability for part 1 and 4 as there is different measurements found for the same part with different operators.
MSA Attributes As the attribute chart shows the Individual effectiveness of Operators 1,2 and 3 is 75%,90% and 90% respectively. Also, the group effectiveness of the three operators is only around 45%.

So given the Standard we can also determine the departmental effectiveness of the group and the agreement percentages of the individual operators identified as 75.4,75.4 and 73.3 for operator 1,2 and 3 respectively.
