My passion as a crisis counselor lies in providing comprehensive mental health services to those in need. Specifically, I specialize in offering symptom
management and medication, skills restoration, and care coordination to individuals who may be experiencing mental health crises.
Excessive stress caused by particular situations or events can lead to mental
health problems. Mental illnesses are not only emotional and psychological but also physical disorders. Genetic factors, biochemical imbalances, head injuries, environmental stresses, or a combination can trigger them. With proper care and treatment, people can learn to cope with or recover from mental illnesses and emotional disorders. This involves understanding the root causes of the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and learning techniques to modify them for a more productive, satisfying, and fulfilling life. By taking a socio-ecological perspective, we can focus on individual and contextual systems and their interdependent relations, which provide different concepts
for organizing and evaluating health-promotion interventions (Stokols, 1996).
My ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life for those I work with, and I am committed to using my education and experience to support them on their journey to recovery.
