The Wildfire Chicken Salad Spicy! My love of spicy and zesty food has exploded since being an adult. Who can’t resist a heated zap of wonderful flavors? Even though it means heartburn will be a consequence of my food addiction. Other food addictions such as sweets are still an overwhelming want, but nothing compares to a perfect blend of spices that pair perfectly with an ice sweet tea with a lemon wedge. While I do eat bland food occasionally, there is always a salt and pepper shaker close by waiting to be paired with my chosen meal. In a splurge to be healthy, there it was while on a date night with my other love, my wife, the Wildfire Chicken Salad printed on Bob Evans menu. This is no ordinary salad; this was the salad of all salads. Possibly the goddess of salads. Fresh greens, dressed with homestyle fried chicken, corn, diced tomato, cheddar cheese, tortilla strips with a drizzle of Bob Evans Wildfire sauce. I then noticed it is paired with Wildfire ranch dressing and served with dinner rolls. Who could resist warm dinner rolls with apple butter? While patiently waiting for my dinner and scrolling through Facebook, the goddess of salads appeared. The salad was everything, fresh with an aroma that heightens the appeal of the plate. This salad had everything including greens, chicken, vegetables, and spiciness, and the plate was full and overflowing. The Wildfire Chicken Salad had a hint of spiciness when tasting the first bite, and the zest was outstanding. Who knew that a low maintenance dinner such as a salad that requires little to no cooking could be one of the best dinners I have had at a restaurant in a while. Each bite seemed as if the salad was multiplying, this salad was enormous. I had eaten the entire Wildfire Chicken Salad and of course my fresh dinner rolls with apple butter. This was superb…

As the zesty salad was gone with a full belly and knowingly that my heart burn and indigestion will cause me to regret this involuntary assumption that consequences will not be tolerated, the pharmaceutical companies continue to profit when I reach for my Omeprazole. The Wildfire Chicken Salad shall be a favorite on the Bob Evans menu. We shall meet again but not until the next family gathering or date night with my lovely wife. If I shall be tempted, there is always takeout!

Letter of Revision Professor Smith, During the course, I have had the opportunity to learn additional information about the writing process. Thank you for your suggested revisions. I used your suggestions as well as created other edits that developed from yours. For example, as I was typing the initial food review, I missed a key detail that forced a sentence to be unable to understand. “While occasionally I make each bland food, there is always a salt and pepper shaker close by waiting to be paired with my chosen meal.” I revised the sentence to “While I do eat bland food occasionally, there is always a salt and pepper shaker close by waiting to be paired with my chosen meal.” I also relocated the word “occasionally” to improve the sentence flow. The Hochman Method is new to me and assisted me while completing my last revision. The first paragraph had a large sentence that included two conjunctions “but/and”. My thought was to focus on the food within the food review and keep the content related to food so removing the last part “and don’t forget the paper straw for our beloved ecosystem” allows me to keep the integrity of the flow and purpose. During the third paragraph, I revised the third and fourth sentences by adding a conjunction “This salad had everything including greens, chicken, vegetables, and spiciness, and the plate was full and overflowing.” This heightens the verbiage creating a visual of the food. I personally prefer to revise on a hard copy, so I printed my food review. I have attached it for your reference.
