Lab 1 – Worksheet A – Measuring Volume
Enter your data from the volume measurement into the table below. An estimate is an educated
guess based reasoning and previous experience (trials). There is no right or wrong answers for
an estimate. You will do your measurements in US fluid ounces (oz), or US tablespoons (tbsp),
and then show the conversion to Milliliters (ml).
Observations and Gathering Data
1.
List (give a descriptor) of your containers and make an educated guess about what volume
of water they will contain. Then, use a measuring cup or measuring spoons to pour out the
water and determine the actual capacity in ounces. Also list this volume in milliliters.
