When analyzing energy at the Learning Checkpoint in Module 6, I analyzed a portion of
my daily water consumption. In this assignment, I will analyze my current water usage in more
depth, explaining how and when I use the most water. And the ways and hurdles that can make
me use less water in my personal life.
This is my water bill for last month. I think this is the best way to analyze water usage. In
the learning checkpoint of module 6, I calculated my daily water consumption, which is about
0.055KGA.
For daily water usage, I think the way I use the most water is by taking a shower twice a
day. Because even now, Florida is hot and I need to shower every morning and night. I think this

is the main source of my water usage. However, the analysis of my daily bath water has already
been analyzed in the Learning Checkpoints in Module 6. In order to avoid the suspicion of
plagiarism, I will analyze other ways of using water.
I know from sources that putting a full water bottle in the toilet tank can be an effective
way to save water. (Carey, n.d.) It is said by putting in a bottle can save you five gallons or more
of water a day without compromising the efficiency of your toilet. (Carey, n.d.) I think this is a
good method, but when I tried to use this method, I found that my toilet does not have a tank, but
directly uses the water pipe. This prevents me from saving flushing with this method. Replacing
the toilet is not practical at the moment, so I can only find other ways to save water.
I noticed that I used the toilet a lot every day, using it as a trash can and flushing the toilet
paper with the toilet. Frequent use of flushing function greatly wastes water resources. (Carey,
n.d.) I decided to put a trash can in the bathroom and put all the waste paper in the trash to avoid
wasting water. This method is more feasible than the previous method. And I think reducing the
frequency of use can effectively save water.
All in all, this is how I critically evaluate my daily water usage report and how to save it.
