1. According to NORA Climate.gov they mentioned that per decade the the “rate of warming has increased by 0.32 per decade” (NORA, 2023). ℉ 2. NORA mentions that 2022 was the sixth warmest year. In 2022 San Jose had the warmest temperature capturing a temperature of 109 (NORA, 2023). ℉ 3. According to the United Nations they mentioned that “Fossil fuels - coal, oil and gas - on the other hand, are non-renewable resources that take hundreds of millions of years to form. Fossil fuels, when burned to produce energy, cause harmful greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide” (United Nations, 2022). 4. According to the United Nations they mention “climate change safeguards people from higher temperatures, rising seas, fiercer storms, unpredictable rainfall and more acidic oceans” (United Nations, 2022). 5. Some actions that we can take to slow climate change is to stop the usage of fossil fuels. Not only that but we should only use our cars, transportation, airplanes, etc. when we really need them. I also think that we should try to eat less meat as much as possible (we should try not to eat meat more than 3 times per week). It’s the small changes that always make a difference. 6. Some national policies that I found to guide our community to stop global warming is to cut the emissions of CO . Some international policies to stop global warming are the BASF climate protection ₂ which has a goal that by “2050 to have zero emissions” (Basf.com 2023). 7. a. The first source that I used was NORA Climate.gov, the reason why I think it’s a reputable source is because it’s a government website that provides only facts of information and not opinions. b. The second source that I used was the United Nations. The reason why I think this website is trustworthy is because it is an organization that is for Climate change action. c.
