This assessment is designed to provide evidence that you can perform the tasks required to achieve competency for BSBLIB604 by submitting the following information in a Word doc. format for assessment. Assessment Location: This assessment should be completed in your own time outside scheduled classes. Assessment Timing: Access to the unit information is available in Semester 2, Week 1, beginning 1/10/2021. Assessment 1 due date is 21/11/2021 . Refer to page 4, of this guide. Resources required for this assessment: To complete the assessment you will require: Access to VU Collaborate Internet connection Your e-learning resources for reference Documents to submit: This assessment task is completed in VU Collaborate. There are no documents to submit. To access this task go to: VU Collarate_Content_BSBLIB604 Extend own information literacy skills and lifelong learning. You will type your answers in the Assessment document. Review each of your answers to ensure you have answered each question prior submission. When completed submit via the Assessment dropbox for this task. Satisfactory completion of the assessment task: To achieve a ‘Satisfactory’ result for this task your answers to the questions must address all of the assessment criteria listed in the ‘Criteria for Satisfactory Performance’ table below. Your submission will be assessed against these criteria. Resubmission Attempts: As per the Assessment for Learning – Assessment Procedure (VET) Part G Re-assessment , you will have two attempts for this assessment task. If you first attempt is unsuccessful your teacher will give you feedback. Review the feedback and your learning materials before resubmitting /re-taking the assessment. Student instructions: Task Overview: 1. You are required to research the topics, & provide a response for each question &provide a report on what you have learnt. 2. Use each question as a heading for your written response. Your response needs to cover all requirements in sufficient depth to demonstrate your understanding, as a guide 200 – 400 words would be adequate. This word count guide excludes the words you use as the headings. 3. You are then required to compile a bibliography of all resources you use throughout the process using the Harvard referencing style. 4. This is an individual task that you should complete on your own, but you can seek support or clarity from your trainer as required. The word count for your answers does not include the words used to outline your requirements. Assessment task: 1. Describe the reference interview techniques you used in Assessment Task 2 & how you could refine your methods to achieve a more efficient & satisfactory result for customers. BELOW ARE MY REFERENCE INTERVIEW STRATEGIES: paraphrasing, asking open questions, clarifying, verifying, getting all the needed information, following up, and ending the interview. Search Strategies: 1. Basic search and Advanced search from Library Catalogue 2. Search from Google Advanced Search 3. National Library of Australia Trove - Set the tone and be approachable. Use open body language and listen to the client. Use open questions, repeat, or rephrase. Encourage client to provide more information. - Restate the question and ask for confirmation. Then get the information for the client. Use appropriate tools such as Basic Search and Advanced Search from Library Catalogue.
