Do you see a trend and if so, what is it? It appears that a noticeable trend is emerging where families, which used to rely on only one working parent, are now finding it necessary for both parents to work. This shift is likely influenced by the stagnation of minimum wage despite the increasing cost of living. As a result, more families have both parents working, yet the number of students receiving free/reduced lunches and living in low-income households has risen over the years. This suggests a heightened struggle for people compared to a decade ago. What does the data suggest about working or not working and the influence on student free/reduced lunches? Surprisingly, it appears that as both parents work, home finances are lower, resulting in more pupils receiving free or reduced lunches. Not only is Indiana's minimum wage too low for the times, but decent employment is harder to come by than they once were. I'm not sure if this is because people aren't going to college or can't afford it, or if the job market is simply shrinking and businesses are being forced to close. How does Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) potentially impact future data sets? CEP may lead to an increase in future datasets as more children gain access to free lunches. This program supports schools in high-poverty areas, enabling them to provide free lunches to all students. Consequently, I anticipate a higher number of children receiving free lunches compared to the past when this option wasn't available to those at that income level.
