Alice Santacruz CJ3309 Professor Wojcik February 8, 2024 Week Four Questions 1. Examine any case law cited in your text. Provide a brief of how the court resolved the regulatory and administrative issues. The court saw the evidence found and collected by someone who wasn’t authorized to search the prohibited and disturbing search against the private and bad security personnel. Later the search of the institute was lifted by Zelinski. 2. Describe, compare, and contrast two state jurisdictions as they regard the regulatory processes involving the private security industry. Be specific and clearly enunciate these two approaches. I believe that California and Texas are both states where everyone goes for a job they really like and of course they should get a background check done. Anyone trying to get a big-paying job shouldn’t have a felony or any bad criminal background. I do believe that these two states are very similar to jurisdiction and the private security system. 3. Generally, what do states look for before the issuance of a license? Do you think this process is intelligent? Are there other factors that are more probative and reliable? In the state of Texas, I believe that giving a license to anyone, commission, and noncommission are what the state looks for before they issue any security license to a person in Texas. With the noncommission, you must go through physical training before handling any armed weapons. 4. How are federal agencies regulating the security industry in exact and specific terms? What types of legislative efforts historically are apparent? What shifts or changes have occurred in the last decade? What, in your opinion, is the most significant piece of legislation regarding private security personnel?
The agencies regulate the security industry, and the officers that can’t enforce to the local government and state is why the legislation is compared to the peace office. 5. What role does education play in the path to professionalism for the private security industry? How much difference will it make? Be specific about the initiatives to foster an educated security specialist. Depending on the field you get to work in. The education I they to a successful career to be honest. Having education that we have in ourselves; we have the knowledge to be whoever we can be with the world. I know sometimes you hear that education is a waste of time, but I do not see it that way.
