1) Speaking for the Carter Racing team, are you going to race today or not? 2) Why? I think that the Carter Racing Team should race today. I think that despite all that can go wrong, which might be a matter of the weather or simply chance, this is an opportunity that the team cannot miss. They have built up their reputation and their credibility the entire season and if they chose not to participate in this race, that momemntum will be lost, regardless of how well they might perform in the race. If they chose not to participate in the race, they will have a loss of $80,000 and start their whole journey for making a name for themselves and building sponsorships all over again. If they have engine problems in the race, they might lose their contract and will still have to start all over again. However, if they race, and it is a favorable outcome, they will grow their company and their team greatly. I think that if the company does not race today, they will not get such an opportunity again. The evidence also shows the weather might not a contributing factor and how the driver is willing to take the risk of racing today. The team has been performing well in past races which means that they have the confidence and the enthusiasm to participate in this race. Despite this being an extremely risky decision, I do think that racing today is the best option. The risks outweigh the potential benefits, in my opinion.
