You are a grant expert who a nonprofit agency has hired to assist with finding and obtaining grants. The director has asked you to present material to the board of directors on how grants can be pursued. The agency is interested in securing any legitimate grant, either public or private, that can assist them in reaching out to the homeless population in your community. The agency is small with a staff of less than ten. They are interested in expanding and are hoping a grant can assist them in reaching more homeless people. Instructions: In your initial post: Choose one type of grant resource for your agency, either a private or government grant. Provide a rationale for why you chose the grant source that you did. Also, discuss why you did not choose the other grant source. In your reply post: Reply to at least one other student's post who chose the other grant source. Reflect on their rationale and post either what you learned or how it reinforced the grant source you chose. They are able to cover everything that is needed to provide for any agency. Government grants normally don't take a lot of authorizations while private grants may have a waitlist or a longer wait time. I did not choose the private grant because private grants they have less money due to limited resources.
