TDT1-Task 2 Eric Davis Student ID: 000393845 Program Mentor: Roger Beus Assessment Code: TDT1-Task 2 February 23, 2019 A.) 1-4) https://ericdavisportfolio.weebly.com/graphic-materials.html B.) 1.) The purpose of taking the original image was so together as a 2 nd - grade team we could collective compare the success criteria we had created with our classes during collaboration. The week before, during collaboration, we had determined what the success criteria would be. Then we collect our students’ assignments to compare growth and see if our students as a whole were successful and if not what we could do differently next time. 2.) My target audience would be other teachers, students, and parents. Other teachers could use this success criteria image in his or her classroom. Students can see what they need to do in order to be successful on his or her assignment. Students can access this information online, and since they helped create the success criteria, they could share that knowledge with their parents. Parents can see what each point is worth and what success looks like for that assignment. So, when the students bring their assignments home the parents can see where they were success and areas they may need to improve.
TDT1-Task 2 3.) For the original image, I took a picture with my iPhone at school and downloaded it to my google drive. I sent it to myself via email as well to make sure I had it. The next thing I did was download it on my computer into a folder I had created for my TDT1 class. I then went to my website to add the image. Weebly has an image button that you can drag to set the image. I uploaded the image to my website along with a description of the picture. To resize the image, I could have used my Windows 10 program, but I chose to use a free online program: http://www.picresize.com/ . The reason I chose the free program was that it let you type in the exact image size you wanted to create. I uploaded the original image from my folder into the program and then resized (640 X 480), and saved it as resized inside my TDT1 folder. I then went to my website to add the image. Weebly has an image button that you can drag to set the image. I uploaded the image to my website along with a description of the picture. For purposeful cropping, I did use my window 10 program. It was quite simple since all I had to do was open my image and in the built in Windows 10 program it has built in tools you can use to edit, crop, create effects, etc. Once you open your image in Windows 10, you click on the Edit and Create button up in the right-hand corner, and you can select what you want to do with the image. I cropped the picture, so the success criteria poster was in the center of the image. I also cropped out as much of the other things that were around the picture, so all you had was the main image. Next, I saved the image and named it cropped, and put it inside my TDT1 folder. The last thing I did was go to my website to add the image. Weebly has an image button that you can drag to set the image. I uploaded the image to my website along with a description of the picture.
TDT1-Task 2 For my adapted picture I once again decide to use the built-in program that comes with Windows 10 to edit the picture. I clicked the Edit and Create button up in the right-hand corner of the picture again, and this time a chose an effect. The effect I chose was called Mercury, and it is close to black and white. Next, I saved the image and named it adapted, inside my TDT1 folder. The last thing I did was go to my website to add the image. Weebly has an image button that you can drag to set the image. I uploaded the image to my website along with a description. The image I chose to scan was a worksheet our 2 nd -graders use in class. I used an app called FastScanner on my phone that will scan an image and then you can email to someone. I emailed the scanned worksheet to myself. I went to load it on the website, but it wouldn’t load as an image because it was in a pdf format. I could have loaded it as a file, but to keep the layout looking nice, I decided to convert it to a jpg. I then had to use a free program online to convert it in to a jpg form so that it would upload with the rest of my images. The program I used was called https://www.freeconvert.com/pdf-to-jpg . I downloaded the converted file and saved it as scanned inside my TDT1 folder. I uploaded the scanned image from my folder into the program I used earlier, then resized it (640 X 480), and saved it again as scanned inside my folder. I then went to my website to add the image. Weebly has an image button that you can drag to set the image. I uploaded the image to my website along with a description of the picture. To create my image, I used the paint program that comes with Windows. I made a Venn Diagram using the shapes button in paint and put two circles together to make the diagram. I use the line tool to make the two lines. I used the shapes button to make the varies shapes to make up the cat and the dog pictures that I used in the diagram. I then used

TDT1-Task 2 the text feature in paint 3-D to write the information on the Venn Diagram. I then saved the image as paint inside of my TDT1 folder. I then had to upload the paint image from my folder into the program I used earlier to resized it (640 X 480), and once I again I saved it inside my TDT1 folder. I then went to my website to add the image. Weebly has an image button that you can drag to set the image. I uploaded the image to my website along with a description of the picture. The outside image I selected was a Venn Diagram comparing a banana and a lemon I found when doing an image search on Google. I right clicked the image, saved the image inside of TDT1 folder, and named it outside. I then went to my website to add the image. Weebly has an image button that you can drag to set the image. I uploaded the image to my website with a description of the picture as well as some information on why I created the web page. When I went to cite my source for the image, I found out by clicking on the Google image it took me to a YouTube video where the image had been taken from. I then decide to add a link to the video just for practice on my website. I added my citation for the source of the picture. After that I published my website with all of my images in the graphic materials section: https://ericdavisportfolio.weebly.com/graphic-materials.html .
