1. Think of an example or application of AI and explain it addressing its implementation, challenges, and impact on businesses and society. Conclude by stating whether you would like to see this happen or not One of the most talked about topics revolving around artificial intelligence are self-driving vehicles particularly due to Elon Musk and Tesla’s increase in popularity in the past decade. These vehicles use radars, video cameras, LiDAR and GPS to generate data from their surroundings which allows them to transport themselves (Silverio, 2023). In order to be able to travel through traffic without causing any accidents, self-driving vehicles use algorithms which have access to enormous amounts of fleet data (Deichmann et al., 2023). Primarily, the concept focuses on personal driving, but it can also be implemented in the shipping industry as artificial intelligence can be used on delivery trucks. One of the challenges that self-driving vehicles face is legislative barriers. There are a lot of privacy concerns regarding who can access the information of these vehicles (D’Allegro, 2023). As the concept will continue to evolve, some self-driving car models will not require any human input and therefore will not have accessories that allow human interaction. Decisions will have to be taken regarding how safe the algorithm behind these cars is since ample accident risk becomes evident when humans do not have any control over the vehicle (Silverio, 2023). The concept can have a great impact on business. The technology behind these vehicles is definitely costly but in the long run, businesses can reduce their costs as they will not have to pay any drivers in order to complete their deliveries. Cost reduction also presents itself when it comes to the overtime that some drivers are paid due to uncontrollable traffic (Deichmann et al., 2023). On the other hand, this presents a great risk for society as many jobs will disappear. There are also beneficial impacts on society. By removing the need for a driver in a personal car, people will have more time on their hands which will increase productivity. For some drivers, driving can be seen as something that is stressful and requires a lot of focus therefore, some people could feel more at peace with the implementation of this artificial intelligence. To conclude, self-driving vehicles are an interesting concept that comes with positives and negatives. The evolution of this artificial intelligence could have a great overall impact on society as a whole. Therefore, I would like for this concept to continue to develop but considerations must be made regarding the negative impacts that it could have. 2. What will be the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs and society? There are many concerns regarding the impact of AI on human labour as many think that as it progresses, businesses will not need human workers anymore. The possibility of it occurring exists but AI should not be seen as a threat by workers but more as a tool. Artificial Intelligence is capable of dealing with only one problem at once and it often presents challenges when there are changes in input. Therefore, instead of replacing workers, this tool could be used by workers to facilitate their tasks. On top of that, the advancements in AI will also create many new jobs (Stahl, 2021).

Artificial Intelligence could result in a variety of benefits for society. These tools can be used to increase our productivity due to its analytical capabilities. On top of that, by automating repetitive tasks, humans would have more time to focus on complex tasks that require human intelligence. Artificial Intelligence can also improve healthcare as it will be able to advance research and reduce the price of medical treatments (Sen, 2023). 3. How can artificial intelligence be used in the world of education? The advancements in artificial intelligence have the potential of revolutionizing education. To begin with, humans differ when it comes to learning and one of the main issues with the traditional education system is its lack of diversity. Artificial intelligence can analyze how each student captivates information and provide a personalized education that optimizes the learning process for everyone. Artificial intelligence can be used by teachers to create content that facilitates the message that they want to send to their students. Chatbots can also provide a 24*7 service to students which will facilitate their learning without needing the teacher’s presence (Gupta, 2023). 4. Is artificial intelligence a good or bad tool for society as a whole? Where is the place of AI in the modern world and with the modern workforce ? Overall, artificial intelligence is a good tool for society. This has a lot of innovative potential as it can increase the speed and facilitate the tasks of humans. Its implementation allows the analysis of various topics and personalizes content depending on the requirements of the situation. In the modern workforce, the tool can allow humans to save time on repetitive tasks and allow them to invest their time in complex matters. The possibility of human labour obsolescence should be considered but it does not have to be seen as a major threat since Artificial intelligence will need human input while also creating new jobs.
