Currently, the women in our society are worn out and underpaid. We previously looked how the history of women in the workforce has shaped the future for women. We may alter the narrative and the way the topic is viewed by using language and perspective, all through the lens of general education. The humanity lens can also be used to change the perspective and highlight issues such as women's educational attainment and racial disparities in the wage gap. Women should not have to worry about receiving less money than men for pursuing higher education in order to advance their knowledge and skills because of their gender. Having a greater awareness of diversity allows us to broaden our minds and be non-bias. Identity always includes culture. The cultures we interact with and those that surround us will influence who we are and how we define ourselves in connection to the outside world, both consciously and unconsciously (Y Studios & by Y Studios, 2020). This influences how self- aware we are. Understanding the beliefs of others with whom we share the world is necessary for the development of cultural competency and cultural awareness. A common misconception is that achieving cultural competency necessitates growing one's own cultural awareness. Anyone can identify the behaviors of another person and provide arguments for their adoption of a particular worldview, but comprehending these arguments necessitates reflection first (Y Studios & by Y Studios, 2020). During my time in this course, I have learned that their is still so much that needs to be done for women in the workforce. Different companies and business need to install diversity and inclusion programs in order for everyone to be comfortable and heard. Having a better understanding of intersectionality and identity allows me to think about others and helps me to teach others of what it means to be inclusive. I firmly feel that we wouldn't be able to see things
from a different angle or put ourselves in the shoes of someone who is different from us if we couldn't recognize variety.
